Throughout the year I keep this blog post drafted on my computer so I can add to it. As I start t recognize my absolutely favorite products and purchases from the year, I add them to the list. This has been a fun blog post I share every year since 2020. You can read 2020’s here and 2021’s here. Plus, I can 100% vouch for the things on BOTH those lists are still absolute favorites of mine. It’s always nice to look back at the things I bought and realized just how much I love and use them often. These are tried and true favorites and many would make a great gift as well.
My Top Products From 2022
Ugg Blanket
I was sadly forced to replace my beloved Restoration Hardware blanket due to a dryer incident (I actually cried, it was a very sentimental blanket). So it was time for an upgrade. I bought several Ugg blankets to see which one was best and this one won by a landslide.
Amazon Shower Caddy
There’s nothing more terrifying than hearing your shower caddy fall in the shower in the middle of the night. I finally upgraded to the Amazon shower caddy that has the industrial strength sticker to keep them secure. I love them so much. The sleek black design is great and they haven’t budged. I also grabbed this razor hook too that matches.
New Glassware
I was down to a mix of glassware after pieces got broken over the years. It was time. I bought this set from Target. They’re very thin and minimal. I really like them but they are also quite delicate. I bought a backup set to have since the price was so good.
Beautycounter Vitamin C Serum
This has been a favorite beauty product in my medicine cabinet. Vitamin C serum is an overall good option for any skin type as it helps to brighten and reveal younger looking skin. It also helps with dark spots and fine lines. If you’re not sure where to start with a serum, this is a good one to try no matter your skin type.
Warby Parker Eyeglasses
It was time for an eyeglass upgrade this year and I opted for not one but two new pairs. I love them both so much and it’s nice to have something different to grab instead of always wearing the same ones. I bought the Whalen and the Hughes.
Grande Lash Serum
I have mixed reviews on this. It 100% works. Lashes got long and beautiful. But It did discolor my lids a bit. There are some ways around it to avoid it or minimize the risk. I still suggest trying it and seeing because the product does work really well and I did use this for quite some time.
Mini Desk Fan
Game. Changer. Why wasn’t I using this my entire life? This is small enough that it isn’t blowing you away, but it’s powerful enough that it gets the job done. I also packed it with me to Paris and I’m so glad I had a little nightstand fan.
Laptop Sleeve
I was still using the same laptop sleeve from, wait for it, college. It was time for an upgrade. I bought this from Amazon and it looks way more expensive than it was. It’s sleek and beautiful. It’s not super padded or anything, but it does the job. I went with the 14-inch size to fit my 13-inch Macbook Pro.
Bamboo Roman Shades
I had been meaning to buy roman shades since I moved into my condo 15 years ago… I finally did it this year. And oh my god, what a difference it makes. Bought them from Amazon and they were super affordable and easy to install. They just complete my home so much. Can’t believe I waited so long. I went with the color Tuscan.
Fridge Thermometer
This year I went through trials and tribulations with my fridge. And I am so glad I had a fridge thermometer. Everyone needs one, period. What your fridge is SET at is not the ACTUAL temperature. If I didn’t have a fridge thermometer I would’ve 100% given myself food poisoning and would not have known my fridge wasn’t functioning properly each of the three times a repairman came out to fix it.
Jewelry Box
I finally replaced my big tall jewelry stand with a small mini box from CB2. It’s really modern and beautiful. But it just felt really great to purge ALL the ugly jewelry I was holding on to from the 2010’s and just keep my minimal favorite pieces. Basically, everything in this blog post is in the box and a few other pieces. I love it so much!
Leather Pants
Clothing really hasn’t ever made the list besides some basics like bras and underwear. But I bought these leather pants at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale thinking they’d be ones I wear to get dressed up. False. I wore them all in Paris with sneakers and t-shirts and they were the best. I felt put-together, cool and comfortable. I’ve worn them way more than I thought I would. PS check out some outfit ideas in leather pants here.
