I am the LAST person to attempt a DIY project. I think it’s a combination of my lack of patience for just about anything and also that I’m notorious for starting a project and not finishing it. Those combined make me the world’s WORST diy-er. However, while browsing Pinterest (and honestly discovering Sugar & Cloth) I’ve been re-inspired to give a few of these a go. I think I may start with the matchstick striker because I did attempt that project years ago and couldn’t figure out the one thing that actually made it strikable. From the advanced to the novice, I’m sure one of these will spark your interest and inner DIYer.

Gold DIY Trinket Tray
Gold and hexagon? I’m sold. This DIY appears to require some patience (which I lack) and a steady hand. I love this for a simple gift though that really makes a statement. Even make a whole set perfect for parties. These dishes are great for catching your jewelry on your bedside, near your sink, or at your desk. I love a little trinket dish! This would also be a great technique to use for coasters. Which would make for a great gift, or bridal shower activity!
DIY Painted Bistro Chair
So many Ikea hacks, so little time. You can spend hours on Pinterest finding great ones, but I think this one may be the easiest and most approachable in my opinion. I love the idea of adding a bold pop of color to a simple white desk.
DIY Faux Brass Drawer Fronts
Use your leftover gold mylar from your hexagon plates to transform a boring set of white drawers in your office from boring to glam thanks to Sugar & Cloth. These make filing away important papers a little more exciting! Get a basic white filing cabinet or set of drawers to update with pretty brass drawer fronts.
