A few weeks ago I did my usual, buy as many things as possible because I’m about to go on a trip. Anyone else do this? Part of it is thanks to the blog, I feel the need to shoot brand new in stock items that you’ll want to shop, but it’s also just more fun to have something new to wear in a new place. This floral wrap dress for spring was SUPPOSED to be one of those things.
I went to put it on one night to get dinner and drinks with my friend Kristin and her coworkers. With a much needed nap, I woke up with about 10 minutes to get ready and this dress wasn’t doing it. It needed nipple pasties and I forgot I really needed to move the button over on the inside where it wraps. It fits, but that button placement can not be right. Instead, it had to be thrown to the side and opted for something that didn’t need as much fuss. Now that I’m back in ATL, I’ll be fixing the button ASAP. Then it’ll be ready to go next time I’m in need of a good dress for a girls night out. Thinking I may wear this to my friends bridal shower in a few weeks.
A good wrap dress is always a great idea for a closet staple in my opinion. I think this one, once I fix this damn button, will be more versatile than I can imagine. Great with sandals for summer, Converse for a casual look and a nice dainty pair of nude heels for dressier occasions. Wrap dresses are almost always universally flattering and are a smart choice for a closet classic. I snagged this one from Shopbop and they’re currently doing their BIG Buy More Save More sale now.
