The Adidas sneaker trend has really always been around, but it became a street style staple in 2023 and 2024. Now you see them absolutely everywhere, in every color imaginable. Whether you’re a Samba girl, Court fan, or Gazelle (that’s me), these are a must have in your closet these days.
The great thing about the Adidas Gazelle shoes (and yes the other styles too, they’re so very similar) is that they really go with so much. With the variety of color options, you can integrate this shoe into so many outfits in your closet. Mix and match your favorite color pairings and prints. I find myself reaching for these more than any other shoe in my closet for their comfort, ease of styling and versatility.
Don’t assume these sneakers are just for casual outfits either. Pair them with dressier pieces like trousers or dresses, your favorite wide or straight leg jeans, and everything in-between. Go bold with fun colors, or neutral, you can’t go wrong.
Here are some of my favorite Adidas Gazelle outfits to recreate. PS, not sure if the Samba or Gazelle Adidas shoes are right for you? See my full comparison of Gazelles vs Sambas here.
13 Adidas Gazelles Outfits

Gazelle’s With Wide Leg Cuffed Jeans
The wide leg cuffed jean is a hot trend right now and the best shoe pairing is the slim Adidas Gazelle. It’s the perfect balance. Add a blazer or trench to complete the look. This is my go-to outfit for when I want to feel pulled together, fashion forward yet still casual and comfortable. You can easily wear this out while exploring a city, or just running errands.

Platform Gazelles With A Denim Mini Skirt And Blazer
Dress down a skirt and blazer with a graphic tee and Adidas Gazelles. These are the bold platform style that are some of my favorite sneakers in my closet. This dresses down the whole look adding to the laid back casual vibe. The blazer adds some polish, and the tee and sneakers add the casual vibes.

Wide Leg Relaxed Jeans With Gazelle’s
If you’re wondering what types of jeans your Adidas Gazelles will go with, I promise it’s ALL of them. From straight leg, to barrel, and yes, even the wide leg relaxed jean, there are so many types of jeans these work with!
But I find this works best with this style as they can be a bit of a challenge to style for some with the wider looser leg. This trick also works for a wide leg trouser or any looser wide leg bottoms you want to style with your Gazelles. Just keep things on top cropped, or tucked in to create some shape.

Leopard Jeans And Red Gazelles Outfit
This is one of the reasons why I love my red Adidas Gazelles (and, guilty, the look on the right are Adidas Sambas), they really add a pop of color and interest. Adding a red sneaker to your leopard jeans is the perfect addition to this hot trend. PS, ways to style leopard pants if you need even more ideas!

Casual With Adidas Gazelle, A Sweatshirt And Trench
Your Adidas Gazelle sneakers are not just for your jeans, they work great with a denim skirt too. Go casual with a sweatshirt and trench to pull the look together while still being laid back and cool. Add a fun crew sock to really lean into the trend.

Everyday Straight Leg Jeans With Gazelles For Fall
One of my favorite easy ways to style the Adidas Gazelle is with my straight leg jeans. Add a simple tank top or tee tucked in and add a third piece over top to complete the look. Try a collarless jacket, a suede blazer, or a trench. This outfit combination always feels polished and cool.
Go more dressy with darker wash jeans and a nicer third piece like a beautiful blazer or tweed jacket. Or try a more casual vibe with lighter wash jeans, a graphic tee and casual fall jacket.

Platform Bold Gazelles Paired With Socks and Cropped Jeans For A Casual Outfit
For a casual Gazelle outfit, I love a pop of red in my Bold Gazelles paired with my favorite wide leg cropped jeans. Add socks to your look if it’s chilly outside, and add your favorite sweatshirt. These add a bold pop of color to your outfit to make it more interesting.

Adidas Gazelles With Barrel Leg Jeans And A Winter Coat
Right before you really need your boots for winter, I like to wear my Adidas Gazelles with my favorite barrel leg or straight leg jeans, and a big cozy wool coat. The longer and more oversized, the better. This combination is NYC street style approved and feels cool and edgy. Add a pop of color to your look by throwing a bold sweatshirt or sweater over your shoulders for an extra layer too.

Adidas Gazelles With Cotton Dresses
Sneakers and dresses are a favorite pairing, especially in a walking city, or when on a vacation with lots of walking. I love wearing my red Adidas with leopard, so this leopard dress and Adidas pairing are a match made in heaven. It’s a great way to dress down a dress too, allowing you to get even more use out of your closet. Wear sneakers with dresses and a light sweater as we ease into spring, or those early days of fall.
These are technically the Adidas Sambas, but wish I bought the Gazelles instead in red. I find the Gazelles to be so much more comfortable and they look nearly the same. Here’s a review of Adidas Sambas vs Gazelles if you’re not sure which style to try.
Other Tips To Styling The Adidas Gazelle Shoe
Pair With Something More Dressy
This is the wrong shoe theory when we break it down. Pairing something more dressy like a nice suit or pretty dress, with a shoe that isn’t in fact dressy or “pretty”. And that would be an Adidas Gazelle or Samba. It’s the perfect juxtaposition to the look to make it feel more interesting.
Dress Down Trousers With Adidas
To dress down your trousers, just add an Adidas Gazelle sneaker. It will balance the trouser out, and they work with so many silhouettes. Whether it’s a straight crop, or a wide leg trouser, the Adidas Gazelle will work perfectly with these pieces allowing you more options to style them.
Try A Bold Color
Try to step outside your comfort zone and invest in a pair that’s a fun and bold color. A safe bet is a red pair if you ask me. They go with SO much and its a trending color at the moment yet is always a classic. You can also lean into fall colors like sage greens or burgundy. Both would go great with a lot of colors. If you’re someone who loves bright colors, add a hot pink or bright blue Adidas Gazelle to your closet. I love the suede upper versions of the Adidas Gazelles, but you can also opt for the leather version.
Other Adidas Styles To Try
Not sold on the Gazelles? There’s also the Samba which are super popular. And you can go classic in the Adidas Superstars, here’s how to style Adidas Superstars if you need ideas. I also love the Adidas Court sneaker and the Sambae is a slightly chunkier version of the Samba and I just love them.
If you’ve jumped on the Adidas Gazelle trend, I hope this guide helps inspire you to style them in new ways. Lean into fun color combinations, pair them with dressier pieces and casual and everything in-between.
