The last few weeks, I did something new for the first time with the blog. I got to be a blind tester for a brand new beauty product that is hitting the shelves in January. Pretty cool, right? You all know I’m ALL about the skincare. I’m a big fan of keeping my skin moisturized and trying to steer clear of any lines or wrinkles. One of the most important ways to keep your skin looking good is by moisturizing. So when asked to participate, I was super excited to give something new a try. All I knew is the product was called Whip. When the initial package arrived, I instantly was intrigued. The packaging was clean and white and pretty. All good signs if you ask me! Then when I opened up the jar to give it a try for the first time, I was pretty impressed with not only the beautiful whipped consistency of the product, but also the smell.
For about 2 weeks or so I replaced my morning moisturizer with this product. Like I said, the consistency of the product was amazing, but it was the smell that really threw me off when trying to think of which brand could possibly be behind it. I’ve noticed that most moisturizers for your face aren’t usually the best smelling. I wouldn’t say the ones I’ve used were ever bad, but I don’t think scent is front and center for anti-aging moisturizers. When thinking of what brand it could be, I started to think of the ones that are known for a great scent.
After using it for two weeks, I really enjoyed the product and my skin felt hydrated. The temperature had just started to change in Atlanta and things were getting drier by the day. This was a true test to the moisturizing and hydrating benefits of this mystery product. When the branded package arrived in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was not only a brand I’ve used and enjoyed in the past, but that it was one you can get right in your drugstore, Olay!
The Olay Luminous Whip jar and packaging also lived up to the initial mailer that I received. Light, white and whipped! If you’re looking for a great hydrating moisturizer that won’t break the bank, definitely give this one a try. Do note, this particular jar of Whip does not have sunscreen in it. However, you can purchase Olay Whip with SPF here. I’m a big advocate for slathering on the SPF so be sure to use SPF 15 or higher to protect against the sun.
