If you remember this post, a particular dress sparked a recent discovery of my love for lilac. Or lavender, violet, whatever you want to call this color. It’s a color I loved when I was younger. As in my teenage bedroom at my parents house (yes it’s still pretty much in tact since the 10th grade when I moved to the South) is full of this color. I’m not sure at what point I decided I hated it, but I did for years. I steered clear of all things purple for as long as I can remember. But now, I’m on a hunt to find as many lilac things as I possibly can to wear. However, you can keep your purple, I still hate that dark saturated hue!
While shopping at Nordstrom and trying on this lilac dress, I realized lilac looked pretty darn good on me. As soon as I got home that day from shopping, I headed to all my favorite stores online and filtered everything to find all things lilac. It’s amazing how easy it is to online shop these days with those filters. But what I found surprising, it wasn’t as popular as I thought! I had a really difficult time finding anything. Maybe I missed the purple boat, but I wanted more! This little crop ruffle top was just perfect. My one and only complaint about it is I steamed it for what seemed like forever and as you can see, it really needs a good press. Noted.
This top is such a fun 70’s vibe too so I had to pair it with my favorite wide leg jeans. I ended up also getting this pretty WAYF crop top (who am I with these crop tops?!) and I just can’t wait to wear that next. I also wanted this linen button down dressGal Meets Glam Collection piece (another great ) but it sold out so quickly before I could grab my size. Fingers crossed it gets restocked because it’s just perfection!
