You may remember a few weeks I shared a sneak peek of this look that was featured over on Maurice’s blog. It was such a perfect summer outfit and included one of the most AMAZING breakfast sweets I’ve ever had that I had to share the full look and details of this peach goodness with you all.
I stopped into Star Provisions, one of my absolute favorite spots in Atlanta to grab a sandwich or sweet, and picked up this peach and blackberry pop tart. I’ve actually never had a pop tart outside of the ones we ate as kids that you shove in a toaster oven and are pretty awful now that I think about them. I don’t know why I don’t seek these out more as they’re truly all my favorite things in one handheld treat. You see, as much as I think I love chocolate desserts, it’s really fruit based ones that I truly love the most. I love a good apple pie, or berry crisp and give me banana pudding or key lime pie over a brownie any day. I loved that this one had huge chunks of sugar crystals on the outside for added texture and crunch to balance out the super soft peaches on the inside.
After reliving these photos and this treat again, I think it’s officially time to try my hand at, well, a hand pie. With fall around the corner I’m thinking an apple based one may just be happening soon. What delicious flavors would you want to stuff into one of these? I could use some suggestions!
