As a self-proclaimed sneaker head, Alohas are a new to me sneaker that I can’t say enough good things about. If I could, I’d add a dozen more to my shoe collection. Alohas is a Spanish based company that was founded in 2015. They’re designed in Barcelona using local artisans from Spain and Portugal. They work with artisans who focus on ethical manufacturing and align with Alohas sustainable goals with their craftsmanship. Making this a brand you can feel good about shopping at.
Alohas doesn’t just make shoes either. While they initially launched their collection with an espadrille, they now offer sneakers, sandals, and also clothing for both men and women. While I haven’t owned their clothing just yet, I can vouch for the shoes. This is my Alohas shoes review, because yes, they are 100% worth it.
Alohas Shoes Review
This brand has been on my radar for a few years now. And it wasn’t until more recently that I finally ordered myself a couple of pairs to try. I was so blown away by the comfort and style of the shoes that I knew these would be favorites in my closet for years to come.
What Is Alohas?
Alohas was started as a shoe brand that evolved into clothing for women. This Spanish based brand is all about incorporating trendy silhouettes and timeless designs to create a collection for everyone.
What Are The Best Alohas Shoes?
While I have only personally owned their sneakers, there are a few quintessential and popular Alohas shoes to shop and consider if you’re just diving into their collection.
Tb.490
The Tb.490 are probably the best selling sneaker at Alohas. These rival an Adidas Samba or Gazelle, but in my opinion, so much cuter and more comfy. They are a low top sneaker with a mix of suede and leahter upper and a gummy sole. They come in a huge selection of colors to choose from too.
Tb.490
These are technically the exact same as the above Alohas Tb.490, but they have the long tongue feature. The flap that goes over the top of the laces. They come in fewer colors, but still a variety to choose from.
Rosalind Ballet Flats
A unique take on a ballet flat. These Rosalind leather ballet flats are a more interesting variation of a classic ballet flat. This bit of edge and interest is what makes Alohas a really fun shoe brnad.
Sway Mary Janes
If you want to try a really cool flat, these Sway Mary Janes have a square toe, with a V-cut vamp and lace up detail. They come in quite a few colors and are the perfect everyday flat.
Harper Sandals
For a more chunky sandal with comfort, the Harper sandals are your perfect choice. The double buckle and fun prints and colors make them a fashion forward sandal. Plus, with the molded foot bed, these are also comfortable!
Indiana Sandals
These are a classic block heel sandal you can wear with so much. The leather strap mules are a staple and come in a variety of colors each season. A favorite simple detail of this shoe is the slightly rounded heel. It’s a small design detail that makes these feel more unique.
South Boots
Alohas has a great collection of boots every fall and winter. So many great shapes and styles. The South boot is one of their most popular and comes in an array of colors and textures.
Are Alohas Worth It?
After purchasing my first pair of the Tb.490 sneakers, I can 100% vouch that Alohas are worth it. They are super comfortable, made with high quality materials and have held up really well. I am already thinking about more styles to add to my collection.
Another thing I really love about their shoes is that they feel timeless, yet cool. I love when a brand somehow manages to master that and I feel like when I buy a pair of Alohas, I’m getting a pair of shoes I’ll have for a while.
Where To Buy Alohas Shoes
While you can buy your Aloha directly from Alohas’ website, there are also a few great retailers who also stock the brand. Sometimes it’s nice to know that you can shop at a retailer you may have status or a card with.
FAQs About Alohas Shoes
Where are Alohas shoes made?
Alohas shoes are designed in Barcelona and the Alohas whose are made in Spain and Portugal with local artisans.
Are Alohas shoes comfortable?
My Alohas are hands down my most comfortable sneaker behind my New Balances. Compared to an Adidas Gazelle or Samba, they are more comfortable than both of them. I reach for them often when I know I’ll be doing a big walking day or playing tourist in a new city.
Are Alohas shoes true to size?
I found that I am a size 8 or 8.5 in most sneakers and I went with a 39. Alohas uses Euro sizing for their shoes, so while I initially wanted to add a size 38 to the cart, I’m glad I double checked the Alohas size guide and saw that I would be a 39. Each product has a size guide on it so you can easily find your size.
Why are so many shoes listed as pre-order?
Because Alohas’ sustainability is such a focus of their brand identity, the pre-order option allows them to manufacture more sustainably with less waste. It’s a great way to also get a discount. Pre-orders are discounted 30%. Shop them all here →
