WAYF Satin Midi Skirt c/o • J. Crew Zodiac Aquarius Graphic Tee • Steve Madden Carrson Heels • Clare Vivier Clutch
I’m finally back from Santa Barbara and have been playing catch up all weekend on work, life, friends and family. I can’t wait to share more of what I was out there working on and all of the crazy fun content we captured. If you’ve never been to Santa Barbara, I highly recommend visiting. The city was so cute and charming and the weather was California perfection. Basically I’d like to move there and live amongst Oprah.
Now onto today’s look. I got this fun satin midi skirt a few weeks ago and have been so eager to wear it. Pairing it with a graphic tee is obviously my go to look. My collection of graphic tees is growing and I don’t hate it one bit. This little zodiac one is so fun. I’m all about zodiacs and am a firm believer that they’re pretty darn accurate. I wouldn’t say the ones in the back of magazines are spot on (gosh when was the last time you read one of those actually?!) but the defining characteristics of each zodiac I think are pretty close.
A few years ago I got a whole Zodiac book and read all about Aquarius’. I’m actually born on the cusp, but the book helps to define which one you are based on the year you were born and where you’re technically aligned in the sun and planets. So I am in fact, an Aquarius even though some people claim to be a Capricorn if they’re born on January 20th.
After reading all about Aquarius’, it’s pretty clear I am truly a water bearer. Many mistake this sign as a water sign because the sign has two waves, or a man pouring water, also known as “the water bearer”. But the water actually signifies how Aquarius’ tend to pour out honesty….#truth. And we’re actually an air sign. Which means we tend to live in our minds and can be big dreamers (also beyond true). A few other characteristics that were spot on for me were that although I enjoy to be around people, I’m really content being alone. Even though I love to travel, relaxing at home is also ideal. I always thought I was a confused introvert, but it’s interesting how my sign aligns perfectly with those feelings.
There were some other interesting characteristics like being easy going, slow to take offense and very loyal. Zodiac signs also have weak points on the body and for an Aquarius it’s the ankles and shins. Aquarians tend to be cut up, bruised or weak on that part of the body. Guess who always (ALWAYS) has mosquito bites, bruises or scratches from the knees down? This gal. A few other things that were spot on were that I tend to appear aloof or distant. Ask any past fling or boyfriend, I just like to be independent and need my space to be me. Now to find a man who lets me do that without taking it personally, that’s the challenge.
I’d love to know, what’s your sign? Do you believe it helps to define your personality?
