I’m all about a good coffee shop work session. I’ve talked about my tips to how I stay productive a couple weeks ago here. It’s always a great way to switch up my surroundings and also an excuse to get all dressed up instead of my usual work from home loungewear style. When I learned there was a new coffee shop not too far from my home, I jumped at the chance to make a morning of it. Atlanta has a few great coffee shops, but to be honest, Buckhead does not. It’s the neighborhood I’ve called home for over a decade (woof) and I’m not super sold on it. But I’m super sold on my inexpensive mortgage so there’s that.
So when a new cool spot that’s not a chain opens up, you run, not walk, to check it out. I headed in to East Pole Coffee with my gal Vicky one day a few weeks back. When I walked in I was basically sold. It’s navy, white tile and brass. My DREAM. Well, my reality, remember my bedroom tour? The coffee was delicious, but my only complaint is that they do not have soy milk. They’re fairly new so maybe this will change. I don’t typically consume soy milk, but I kind of dislike an almond milk latte. The milk and coffee never really become one, you feel me?
I plan on heading back soon though for maybe a classic coffee, then followed up with some BBQ at the Fox Bro’s container just down the road. It’s in an industrial area so it’s a quiet street with offices thats easily walkable. You can grab Fox Bros, coffee and maybe stay a little longer for some brews at Sweetwater 420 right next door. You could basically make a whole day out of this if you really wanted to and I don’t hate that idea at all.
PS I promise my Atlanta travel guide is coming this week to the blog and you bet this coffee joint will be on the list! You can check out my other favorite local coffee shops here.
