I’m not sure if it’s just that I’m getting older and the people around me are getting their shit together. Or if it’s the simple fact that Atlanta is really starting to blossom into one creative and impressive town full of incredibly talented people. But it seems like everywhere I turn lately I’m hearing about yet another cool business starting up in Atlanta. In honor of Small Business Saturday I’m sharing 5 of my favorite places to get great gifts from this season while supporting small businesses. I’ve added a few non-ATL businesses as well but these are all shoppable online!
1. Elk Head Clothing
You’ve seen me rock my ATL tee, pin and the best belt on the planet from them. Primarily a men’s store, Elk Head Clothing is all about expertly tailored pieces for the modern rugged man. Just head to their store at Ponce City Market to get a little decor inspiration too. They’ve recently added some new 3rd party elements like leather goods, sunglasses and they also have a women’s collection that’s evolving.
For the man in your life, grab them this button down or these great trousers.
2. Waiting On Martha
As a fellow local Atlanta blogger, Mandy of Waiting On Martha also has one fun online shop! Full of great little knick knacks to fill your home with or gift to friends, this is THE spot to find that unique piece that you know no one else will get. From stocking the bar cart, to bookshelves to even great jewelry, hats and more.
For the hostess in your life, grab them this tartan ice bucket or this marble & wood cutting board.
3. Sweet & Spark
This particular online shop is not native to Atlanta but I couldn’t leave it off this list. Sweet & Spark is a shop full of great jewelry finds from all the decades. Unique pieces that you’ll most definitely not find anywhere else. The genius behind this shop, Jillian, scours garage sales, antique shows and more to hand pick the best pieces that are back on trend. I have a few items from the shop and I just wonder what sort of story the jewelry has.
For the girly girl in your life, grab them these statement 60’s earrings or this chunky gold bracelet.
4. Heirloomed
I had the pleasure of meeting the creative behind Heirloomed at The Blog Societies Workshop a couple weekends ago. I’ve actually been a fan of her adorable aprons for a few years now so it was nice to finally get to meet her. They’ve since expanded to offer lots of great home goods so you can scoop up a new apron and lots of other fun goodies.
For the cook in your life, grab them ceramic biscuit cutter or this wooden spoon set.
5. So Worth Loving
First, follow SWL on Instagram as well as the founder Eryn Eddy and her adorable dog, Sprocket. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. Eryn was actually a client of mine for Alternative Apparel and loved seeing our tees undergo her design process with her uplifting motto, you are so worth loving. They’ve expanded to have one great collection from men’s to women’s as well as some fun accessories too like this cute mug!
For the fashionista in your life, grab them this varsity tee or this sweatshirt.
