Lipstick is always something I grab before heading out for the day. It finishes off your makeup look, completes an outfit and always makes me feel more feminine. The more I learn about clean beauty and safer products, the more I want to incorporate them into my routine. Insert Beautycounter. Being dedicated to safer and more transparent ingredients in beauty and makeup products is what they’re all about!
Beautycounter has been at the forefront of making changes. The United States has only a handful of ingredients banned whereas Europe is way ahead banning nearly 1,400 ingredients that are considered harmful. Why aren’t we making a change here? Who knows, but Beautycounter is doing it anyway on their own. The brand is focused on what they call their “Never List” keeping 1,500 ingredients out of their products. Plus, providing FULL ingredient lists. Something that may surprise you, isn’t required in the U.S. for beauty and skincare.
Beautycounter Lipstick Review
Now let’s get to the lipstick though. Because not only is this a safe product that you can feel confident putting on your body, they’re also kind of amazing. There are two types of lipsticks that Beautycounter offers. A more sheer, everyday lipstick which comes in lots of great shades. To a more color intense and rich formula with the Color Intense collection (my personal go to). They also offer lipglosses and also a lip conditioner to hydrate those lips! And as always, you can trust that the products are safe and clean with the efficacy and quality you can trust with Beautycounter.
Beautycounter Sheer Lipstick
A perfectly sheer hue to add to your pout for a hint of color. Great for every day, or a night out. I have a few friends who are terrified of wearing bold lipsticks. That’s when a great sheer lipstick like these Beautycounter ones come in handy. They’re the perfect way to ease into bold lips. Once you try it, I promise you’ll LOVE it! The great thing about the Beautycounter Sheer Lipsticks is that they’ve been formulated to work with all skin tones. That’s right. They made sure all the shades in this range work with warm and cool tones! So you can’t go wrong with the one you choose, just grab a new lipstick!
Beautycounter Color Intense Lipstick
I’m definitely more of a bold lip color kind of person. I love to grab a bold red or pink to make a statement. The Beautycounter Color Intense lipsticks come in a ton of great colors. Their satin finish is luxurious and is also long wearing which I really like. I find that the super glossy look of it won’t last FOREVER, but the hue itself does so that you’re not reapplying constantly. Plus, it’s super moisturizing so you never get that dry feeling which I can’t stand.
The Color Intense Collection comes in 8 colors ranging from bold reds like Girls’ Night shown above to hot pinks like Garden Party which is a new summer favorite. They also have quite a few more neutral options. I personally just picked up Brunch which is a great brown/nude that still has a bit of pink in it. Plus, with peppermint oil in the formulas, it smells amazing and has a refreshing zing when you swipe on your favorite color.
Beautycounter Lip Gloss
I can’t not mention their lipglosses because they’re super popular. Personally, I’m not a lipgloss wearer, I never have and never will be. I prefer lipstick all day every day. But these get rave reviews and I do personally own Peony (a great light pink) but rarely wear it. I just don’t like the sticky feeling on my lips, that’s why I’m a lipstick girl! But due to their popularity (they will often do mini sets for the holidays which is great for gifts), I had to at least mention it incase you love a good gloss!
Beautycounter Lip Conditioner
Before you apply your lipstick or gloss, be sure to condition those lips for extra hydration. With two options, peppermint or calendula, choose one today to add to your everyday skincare routine.
