My birthday is in just a couple days and my sister reminded me that the third week of January is historically the coldest week in the year. Yay for me… This does remind me though that right now winter coats are starting to go on sale and if you haven’t invested in a great one, now’s the time!
About two years ago, I finally invested in two really great classic coats. A down one (which you’ve seen styled here) and also this chateau parka for a classic neutral piece. Once I bought these two coats I felt like I was prepared for just about anything. They’ve survived two winters in Atlanta, which may not say much, but they’ve also come with me to NYC for that epic winter storm Juno, Christmas and NYFW. If you ask me, that’s the true test of a warm coat and I didn’t freeze!
Now that my basics are covered, puffer for more casual, chateau parka for more dressy it’s time to have a little fun. So from here on out, it’s just buying less expensive more fashionable pieces to help freshen up my coat collection.
