Come fall, I always store my summer sandals and espadrilles and pull out all my booties from last season. Yes, my closet is THAT small that I have to store my shoes under my bed in a giant bin. Once the new season is upon us I get pretty excited about the swap though.
It’s a nice change of pace from my sandals, and it forces me to start dressing for the season even though it’s still hot in Atlanta. Today I’m going to share four booties that every fall wardrobe needs. I’m also including a few style tips with each on how to wear them for the weekend or even to the office.
4 Booties Every Closet Should Have This Fall
Western Inspired
I’ll be honest, I saw these and thought, meh don’t love them. Then I put them on and styled them with hunter green (a color I’m loving for fall) and this trench and I think these may be my favorite shoes of the bunch.
I love the western detailing and the cutouts in the side. They’re also SUPER comfortable as are all of the shoes in today’s post actually. I’d recommend sizing up half a size on these if you’re in between sizes. I’ll be wearing these a lot this fall as the color of the suede goes with so much.
Classic Flat Black Bootie
I think every single closet needs a great flat black bootie. I have several pairs and was excited to add these suede ones to the mix. The great thing about a flat black bootie is that it can be dressed up or down.
Wear them with casual jeans and a sweater. Or dress them up a bit more and wear them with black tights, a mini skirt and a blouse. I loved this all black casual look to grab coffee the other day. It’s comfy and cozy. Which just goes to show you how versatile a great black bootie can be.
High Heeled Anything
It’s so funny how things photograph versus how much I love them in person. The second I put these on my feet when I got them I was OBSESSED. As soon as I got the photos back I thought man, these are WAY cuter in person! Photos just don’t do them justice.
So although they are cute in these photos, trust me when I tell you, they’re even cuter once you get them home and wear them. The color of these is I think what I also love most. They’re different than any other color boot I own. It’s almost a grey taupe and is such a versatile neutral.
The color is called Foxy and the perforated detail allows these to easily go from summer to fall, and again from spring to summer.
Goes With Anything Neutral
These will be the shoes you wear All. The. Time. They’re a great neutral which goes with so much. Plus since it’s a nice low heel, they’ll be comfortable! You won’t believe me when I tell you that I didn’t own a great pair of neutral flat booties.
I have several pairs of brown, chestnut booties and all with a decent heel. I’m so glad to have something more wearable for casual days that I don’t want to run around in a heel.
