There are only certain things I will buy from Amazon. Clothing is not usually one of them. But when it comes to things for my home, I do find myself shopping there for those types of things. Whether it’s to spruce up my home office to make it more functional, or decor items that are super affordable that I just can’t seem to find elsewhere. When I think of the Amazon home purchases I’ve recently made, they’re all things I seriously LOVE. Which I think says a lot! From the best easy plug in sconces, to little gadgets around my home and kitchen, these are the best Amazon purchases from my home.
My Favorite Amazon Home Purchases
1. Samsung Frame TV
My bedroom TV was on the fritz and I decided to finally upgrade to the Samsung Frame TV. It feels like a piece of art over my dresser, and now I can actually take photographs in my bedroom for the blog without a big black rectangle in the background. It looks so much like real art, and the TV itself is just fantastic. Great picture and sound quality. You can read my full review here with lots of FAQ on this TV.
2. Modern Door Handles
This was the best little home DIY I could’ve done. My door handles were old, busted and shiny silver. Plus, the hinges were disgusting. I swapped them out for these sleek, matte black modern handles and it made such a difference.
3. Black Art Holder Easel
My favorite interior design blogger, Jenny Komenda, always puts frames and art on easels. Some are small, some are big. I picked up this black one to hold a print from Allie Provost on my end table. It’s such a nice, elevated way, to display photos and frames.
4. Mini Vintage Fan
My house has an entire wall of windows and in the summertime it just gets SO hot by them. The AC just doesn’t flow in that area leaving me very hot while on my couch or at my desk. I finally got a mini fan to keep on my end table and it is game changer. This little guy is tiny but mighty. I love it so much.
5. Laptop Vertical Stand
With minimal desk space, this vertical stand gets my computer off the desk and upright taking up as little space as possible. You can even place it on the floor and keep it from getting hot against your carpet. Can’t recommend this enough for an at home work setup.
6. Computer Monitor
As someone who works from home, having a big monitor instead of using my laptop is ideal. I finally upgraded to this 27inch monitor allowing me to work more easily between two windows if I need to.
7. Milk Frother
Perfect for frothing up milk for a cappuccino, or epic scrambled eggs. A must have for every kitchen and it’s under $15.
8. FoodSaver
I cook quite a lot at home and find myself trying to freeze things in tupperware and then NEVER using it up. It just doesn’t ever freeze well and takes up so much space in my tiny freezer. I finally splurged and got a FoodSaver and it is GAME CHANGER. If you’re a cook at all, especially someone who is single, I find this to be so helpful. I am able to cook up a ton of protein, and vacuum seal individual portions for the freezer. Takes up so much less space, freezes so much better (no freezer burn!) and I have tons of meals ready to go. My #1 tip (thanks to my Mom) is to place your protein in the bag and freeze it for a few hours before sealing it. The juices can get into the seal and it can make a mess.
9. Smoothie Straws
To be more eco-friendly, I purchased these big thick straws to reuse. I love them for smoothies and they come with a cleaner. PS here’s my favorite smoothie recipe.
10. Patio Interlocking Tiles
My little balcony was in need of an update and these wooden tiles made all the difference. What was once a cement balcony, now feels like an extension of my home. You can check out my apartment balcony makeover here.
11. Safety Netting
Since I’m in a high rise and have a tiny dog, making sure the patio was safe was super important. I used this safety netting to secure my patio for some peace of mind. I don’t think my dog could even fit through the slats of my railing, but this way I don’t have to worry about her or any other pet guests we may have!
12. Brass Sconces
I was so ready to get rid of my big bulky table lamps on my nightstand. They took up so much space on what little nightstand surface I had. Swapped them for these easy to install plug in sconces. My favorite type of sconce to be honest. They’re super sleek and make my room feel lighter and less cluttered. Plus, they’re only $100 for a pair! There are so many great sconces available on Amazon too, this post has a few that I’m loving as well.
13. Spice Containers
My pantry is super tiny and hard to keep it looking pretty. Actually, it’s impossible. But these glass spice containers with the pretty labels definitely make a difference and are only $25 for the entire set. It’s just nice to have everything in the same type of jar and coordinating label. Makes it easier to find what I need and keeps things looking and feeling more organized. It’s also a really fun project to do!
14. Shower Caddy
Ask me how many times my stupid suction cup shower caddy fell off the wall and scared the crap out of me. I finally swapped it for this very chic shower caddy that has a giant adhesive. Don’t stress about the strong adhesive, it comes off easily with a warm blow dryer. Hasn’t budged!
15. Razor Holder
To complete my shower situation, I needed a spot for my razor to hang. It used to fit in my old shower addy, but not the new one. These also have the same adhesive making them really easy to install and won’t budge. They also come in silver.
16. Electric Kettle
As someone who really enjoys a hot cup of tea, and an Americano, a tea kettle was a must for me. I finally got one and can’t believe I lived my life so long without one. So much better than heating it up in the microwave or using the stove.
17. Foldable Rattan Chair
When my family comes for dinner, we’re a family of 5 and my house just doesn’t have the space for that. So my solution was to buy a beautiful folding chair that I could use for parties or dinners. It’s beautiful and comfortable!
18. Olive Tray
This isn’t the exact one I have, but it’s nearly identical. I use mine to hold all the matchbooks that I collect when I travel. It’s also great to add to a charcuterie board to fill with olives.
19. Black Candlestick Holders
I bought these for a quick project and I just love them. They’re sleek, modern and beautiful. You can also browse all my favorite candles here.
