Sneakers have become the new flat and are the official symbol of athleisure. I used to wear those Tory Burch flats day in and day out back in the day. But now, it’s all about the sneaker. The cool New Balance, or Nike, but most definitely the Adidas Superstars. I’m so thankful this athleisure look is all the rage because it’s comfortable! I used to buy up all the heels and now it’s all the sneakers. I really never thought I’d be so into a sneaker for a day to day look but it’s all I wear these days.
You’ve seen me rock these grey Nikes here, my Adidas dressed up with a mini skirt here and dressed down with a t-shirt and jeans here. Plus, my New Balances (which were truly my original stylish sneaker) styled here. Basically, I’m obsessed. And you should be too with this sneaker trend. Which is why today I’m rounding up all of my favorite sneakers that you can not only wear to the gym if you really wanted to but also with your favorite jeans, or dresses and even skirts. Style these up or down, however you want, I trust you’ll find a way that works with your personal style.
8 Of The Best Athleisure Shoes For Fall
1. Classic Adidas Superstars
Hands down the first shoe you need from this list. I picked up my first pair of Adidas Superstars about 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. I grabbed the classic black and white, then later added an all-white version to my closet too. They’re comfortable, can be worn with dresses, and jeans, and are under $100. Here are some ways to style Adidas.
I also love the Adidas Stan Smith. A total classic and a lot less bulky looking than the Superstars. These are also a great street style vibe.
2. Nike Air Max Thea Sneaker
If I were to buy a new sneaker right this second, this would be it. I’ve been eyeing these for a while now and I hear they’re super comfy. I love the low profile of these and the fact that they don’t look like a running shoe, but more like an everyday sneaker. That’s a thing right? It should be.
3. New Balance ‘574’ Sneaker
New Balance has several great sneaker styles and the 574 are to me, the most iconic. They’re a retro looking shoe and a little more bulky than some of their other styles, but I think that’s why I love them so much. They come in an array of colors to choose from, but this burnt orange is super fun for fall.
4. Nike Air Zoom Pegasus
The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus I feel like has ben around for AGES. It’s a classic Nike style that they just keep updating with fresh colors year after year. I love the chunkier sole to these giving them a more 80s and 90s vibe to them. You can’t go wrong with these.
5. Adidas Gazelle
Another classic Adidas shoe, the Gazelle. This is a more sleek and low profile version of their Superstar one. If you think the original is too bulky, this will be your new favorite shoe then. I love that it is suede and comes in loads of colors. I particularly love the navy, but obviously, who isn’t a fan of millennial pink at this point?
6. Vans Old Skool Sneaker
I’m a big fan of Vans and wear their slip ons all the freaking time. So much so that it’s time for a new pair probably. They’ve definitely seen better days. My next pair may be their Old Skool Sneaker or maybe even the high top sneakers. This retro shoe is a classic always in style. Plus, they come in tons of colorful options. The lace up Vans are a go to for pairing with more feminine pieces like skirts and dresses too.
7. Golden Goose Sneakesr
A huge splurge compared to the other styles here, but these are so popular I had to include them. They’ve got a unique design to them with a dirty look, but people love it. They come in a variety of colors as well as high top versions as well.
8. Vejas
One of my absolute most worn and favorite white sneakers. These come in a few different styles and color options. The Esplar and the V-10 are my favorites. There are also a few styles and options that are vegan if you’re looking for a more environmentally friendly sneaker.
These Vejas are also my go-to for traveling. I almost always wear them or pack them with me on a trip. They pair with jeans and dresses with ease. Plus they’re insanely comfortable. I think the more sleek design of the Esplar helps to make them more versatile.
