Ever since I visited my friend Ryan in Denver I’ve been on a major beer kick. His boyfriend Matt introduced me to sour beers and him and I just made our way through every beer list together. Ryan and I don’t see eye to eye on beer, so thankfully I had Matt to try things with. Once I got back from that trip I’ve been on the hunt for great beers. It’s such a fun weekend activity to visit breweries with friends and try new flavors!
While in Asheville we visited Wicked Weed, and in Hawaii, we tried Ola Brew Co and fell in love with their white pineapple cider. We hoped to head to the brewery but didn’t have enough time. Then in Athens a few weeks ago for my hair appointment with Redken, I met up with Jenny of Jenny Sue Makeup and Elizabeth of Mz Savvy Style along with Vivi to check out Creature Comforts. It’s a popular brewery in Athens and beer in Atlanta as well. We did a little beer flight before heading to dinner that night. It’s such a fun way to spend a few hours with friends. You drink, you chat about the beers, try their beers. It’s a blast!
There’s several new breweries in Atlanta that I’m dying to check out. so far I’ve only been to Sweetwater and Orpheus so if you have any local recommendations, let me know!
