When we get a few months into fall and winter, it can begin to feel dark and dreary. Between the shorter days, cold weather and the desire to hibernate, this time of year just feels blah. To cheer things up a bit, but also not wear bright colors because I’m not going to ever wear hot pink on the blog, I’ve been reaching for light neutrals. By layering different shades of cream, camel and ivory, it can create an elevated look that feels fresh for winter. A mix of all these great neutrals come together perfectly for a stylish ensemble.
This look is super easy to recreate with staples you probably already have in your closet. A great cream sweater is a classic that goes with everything. I have varying weights of cream sweaters because they’re my go-to. From super lightweight for those warmer winter days and lots of layering to big thick and cozy ones. And if you don’t own a great camel coat yet, it’s one coat I highly recommend investing in. I’m sharing a few favorite camel coats to get you through the rest of the winter below!
Neutral Winter Accessories
To pull a winter neutral look together you have to add a few good neutral winter accessories. Depending on where you live, this may mean winter boots and scarves. But here in the south, this means whatever we want really because it can be kind of warm! I love wearing these suede cognac pumps to add some depth of color to a neutral outfit but still fit with the color palette. A coordinating suede bag pulls it all together.
Cream Sweaters For Winter
A cream sweater is a closet staple in my book. I love how they go with literally everything. Wear with jeans and boots, pair with work pants and heels, and everything in-between. I have a growing collection of cream or neutral sweaters to pair with my entire closet in a pinch!
