Many of you may already know this about me, that I used to work at Alternative Apparel for several years. I was a sales rep and worked with brands to find the best tees and sweatshirts for their companies. I loved what I did. As in, I was this weirdo who skipped on my way into work, I loved it so much. Leaving was really hard and a decision I didn’t take lightly. But the thing I’m so proud of that came from my 4+ years at the company is my love for and knowledge of fabric. We were fabric obsessed at AA. It’s what we were known for. Throughout the years, I find myself checking labels all the time to see what I’m really buying. I’m basically a fabric snob. You’ve also heard me talk about the importance of checking your clothing label in my big denim guide I did here.
That being said, when Cotton reached out and asked me if I like cotton and would want to work together on sharing some of my favorite cotton looks I said HECK YES. Why? Because it’s my favorite fabric for so many reasons. I look for this fabric in all my labels (tops, sweatshirts, pajamas AND denim). For summer especially, this is a fabric I only want to put on my body. It’s natural, breathable and just feels good. I wanted to share this particular look since it’s 100% cotton and includes two of my favorite summer things, eyelet and chambray. I wore a similar variation of this here on Instagram (and coming to the blog soon). It’s a classic summer combination that feels lightweight, stylish and makes me feel good. Who wouldn’t want that, right?
