One thing my Mom taught us is that gifting food is always a no brainer. She’s notorious for having Mrs. Prindables at every holiday meal and provides homemade granola packed perfectly as a little care package to take home. Holidays are indulgent and it just makes them that much more fun. When I saw these adorable gingerbread man coffee mug toppers, I knew they’d be a great gift for just about anyone! They’re cute, delicious and so fun.
Here are some of my favorite foodie items to gift this season. These food gifts make for an easy gift to give to your concierge, mailman, hairdresser or boss. So many of these come ready to gift in a pretty package which makes last minute gifting that much easier. And who wouldn’t enjoy a little sweet treat?
THE BEST GOURMET FOOD GIFTS TO GIVE THIS HOLIDAY
1. Peppermint Bark
An absolute classic for the holidays. I feel like this is universally accepted for just about anything over the holidays. Going to a party? Bring the hostess one of these. Have a UPS man you like? Give him this. They even have ones you can customize with your name if you have a lot of folks to gift to.
2. Cake In A Mug
From one of my favorite local businesses here in Atlanta, Waiting on Martha Home has some really cute food ideas for gifts this year. These cake in a mug sets are so fun! She’s got several fun flavors (I’m eyeing the birthday cake one) but who doesn’t love a spice cake for the holidays?
3. Hannukah Cake Truffles
Anyone else obsessed with cake truffles? They’re kind of the greatest gift from the dessert gods if you ask me. If you have a Jewish family who you need to buy a gift for, these are super fun and I’m sure delicious.
4. Assorted Holiday Cookies
My concierge team is quite large. I think there’s around either or nine folks that rotate through. Every year I get them a tower of cookies and goodies. It’s easy for them to leave at the desk or in the break room so they can all share and enjoy. They came in varying sizes so if you just have a few people to gift or quite a lot, you can buy accordingly.
5. Olive Oils
One of my favorite things to gift any time of year, are foods that I picked up while traveling. Wine from Italy, olive oils from Greece, etc. I think food makes for such a thoughtful gift. Olive oils are one of those things that make a great gift and are even that much better if they were picked up during your travels.
6. Hot Chocolate & Marshmallows
This makes for a great gift to give a family with kids. Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? And then paired with fun marshmallows, it’s a winner for sure. There’s tons of options to choose from and varying accompaniments as well.
7. Cocktail Gift Set
A gift I would love to get, a cocktail gift set. I love this because it forces you to try some new things. Pair this with a pretty cocktail shaker or bottle opener to complete the gift.
