Fun fact about me, I’m not a big movie person. I rarely watch a movie at home. I very much prefer a long drawn out series over an hour and a half movie that’s over so quickly. Going to a theatre was something I maybe did two or three times a year. If that. And rarely because it was my idea. Although I have been known to see a movie solo. Sometimes you just really want to see the new release! But there are definitely movies that I’ve watched and loved over the years. Some, I even have watched multiple times.
My Most Favorite Movies To Watch On Repeat
Growing up my neighborhood group of friends and I watched The Birdcage more times than I care to count. And even now as an adult, I will watch it again and again. It’s one of the only movies I can quote. The other, which I think is just an American classic, is Home Alone. It’s simply the best damn holiday movie ever. I’m counting down the days until we can get into the holiday spirit to watch it. And I’ll almost always not change the channel if Titanic is on. Still shocked they only really knew each other for 24 hours.
I also think it’s interesting to hear how shocked people are when they learn I haven’t seen notable movies. For example, I never saw The Notebook until about 2 years ago. Unimpressed. I also only saw Forrest Gump as an adult and just don’t get the appeal. A few other classics that I’ve never seen, Gone With The Wind, Silence Of The Lambs and Bridget Jones’ Diary. Maybe I should add this to my quarantine to do list.
I feel like you’re either someone who watches movies and loves it and even rewatches them. Or you’re like me, and just don’t really care. But I’d love to know, which movies do you love to watch on repeat or are total classics that I should watch?
