While having dinner last week with Jennifer of Jenny Sue Makeup and Elizabeth of Mz Savvy Style, we got to chatting all things skincare. Both women have incredible skin and their secret? Taking proper care of their skin! Great cleansers, moisturizers, anti-aging creams. You name it, they had a list of items they loved. I’ve definitely taken an interest in my skincare and preventing any aging I possibly can. I’m blessed but also cursed, with large pores and oily skin. It means my skin is hydarting itself often which is great to keep wrinkles at bay. But it won’t last forever.
The one thing Jennifer said to me to start doing before ANYTHING else was washing my damn face before I go to bed at night. A nighttime habit I’m still struggling to commit to. I’ve tried tons of products and love so many of them. I wanted to share a few new to me products though that I recently have tried.

I’ve chatted about “tech neck” in the past here, and whether you think its real or not, protecting the skin on your neck is important. Many people forget about it and just take care of their face. The skin on your neck ages too so it’s important to add this step to your routine. I’ve been using this product for months.

2. NERD Skincare
I received a few samples of this and was first impressed by the packaging. It’s very Ace Hotel in LA if you ask me. It’s supposed to be amazing for acne and their promo video is probably the greatest ever. I liked the moisturizer, but can’t speak to the other products but have heard great things.

3. Pour Moi Day Cream
I heard about this product right around the humid summer weather kicked off. It’s a climate based collection meaning you purchase the type of moisturizer you need based on the climate you live in. Hot and humid? They’ve got that. Dry and windy like the desert? They have that too. It’s pretty neat how they do this, but I loved the one for the hot and humid summers in Atlanta.

4. Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer
In the dead of winter, this product gives me LIFE. I’ve never felt more pale than I do now and with a tropical vacation in just a week, I’m slathering this on daily. It gives you just enough color to make you feel a little more alive and it does not streak. Period.

5. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
I’m all about smart sun protection and Supergoop is always there with some of the best products. I just got this Unseen Sunscreen in the mail and it’s going to be what I slather on my face while in Hawaii next week. This product not only protects from the harmful sun rays, but also blue rays from our phones and computers. I’m also in love with their lip balm that I’ve talked about here.
