Today I’m hitting the slopes in Park City. We got in early afternoon yesterday and I have to be honest, I’m terrified to go snowboarding. It’s been YEARS and I was never really that great it. So be sure to check out my Instastories for what I’m sure will be some entertaining footage. Now onto today’s post which is completely opposite of my current wardrobe situation.
Being in Thailand made me miss summer even that much more. Although winter’s are mild in Atlanta, I’m still so over wearing jeans, long sleeve shirts and booties all the damn time. We’ve had a few glimpses of warmer weather which has been nice. I’ve been able to ditch the jacket all together during the day and sometimes even getting to ditch the down coat at night to walk Pork. All of this has me 100% ready for spring. But just one thing, my wardrobe isn’t!
I’m officially throwing in the towel to winter clothing and from here on out it’s all about spring things for the closet. I’ve already been buying new bikinis (that was a whole other situation and realization while in Thailand) but new dresses, flowy tops and sandals are calling my name! Even fresh lipstick hues like more corals and oranges are on top of my list. Here’s what I’m eyeing.
Fun Wedges – I love a good wedge and I ended up tossing a few espadrilles during a recent closet purge that had seen better days. Time for a new pair!
Colorful Earrings – I have been seeing these earrings everywhere and I’m still on the fence about them. But I will say, I’m sold on the color!
Sunglasses – I own a lot of more expensive sunglasses, so cheaper ones are key for pools and vacations so you don’t have to worry. I just grabbed these Madewell ones which I’m sure will be a spring favorite.
Sisley Lipstick – Sisley has become my #1 favorite lipstick. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Mary Kay shades, but Sisley survives 95+ degree weather better than any other lipstick I’ve ever tried. I’m loving this coral color!
Little Red Bikini – I have a ton of bikinis, but they’re all so similar. It’s time to get out of my comfort zone (as in all black and boring) and upgrade to fun colors and silhouettes. Love this red scalloped one and it comes in tons of other colors. Trying to resist the black!
Non-Denim Shorts – Just like in the winter time, I am in a terrible habit of wearing denim way too often. Time to make some changes this season and I’ll be adding new shorts to my closet like these silky printed ones.
Flowy Tanks – I am a sucker for a peplum hem. This little tank comes in loads of colors and is super affordable. Great with a contrasting bralette. I think this Free People tank is perfect for Coachella in April.
Denim Slides – I bought my first pair of true slides back in September (these are them) and love love love the style. They’re easy to throw on and they go with so much. These denim ones are so fun and I’m sure they’ll go with everything!
