Choosing the right bag when you travel is essential. It can make your life so much easier when you have a travel bag that functions well for your travels. Not only do you want it to function for all your things you’ll pack, but you want quality materials, smart compartments, durable and lightweight so you’re not weighed down. I’ve done my fair share of traveling and I think you’re going to be surprised to hear this. I really love my Vera Bradley travel bags. I’m not your quintessential Vera Bradley gal, but that’s why I love this post so much. It’s an unexpected brand you’ll see me endorse, but it’s because they are so well made and designed for travel.
This brand is mostly known for bright colorful prints that everyone in my high school in the early aughts had to have. I for one, hated it. But now they have these great travel bags in classic solid colors like navy and black which I can 100% get behind. There are so many bags to choose from whether you need a toiletry bag, weekender or even a rolling suitcase. I’ve tested them all, and these are the best Vera Bradley bags for travel.
Best Vera Bradley Bags For Travel
Toiletry Bags
This has become my go-to over the last few years for so many reasons. I even wrote a whole post about their cosmetic and toiletry bags here. The compartments help to keep things super organized and it’s quite spacious without being obnoxiously large. Plus, the inside is lined with plastic making it water-resistant and easily washable if something spills.
Weekend Bags & Gym Bags
This is probably the product that got me so hooked on Vera Bradley travel bags. The weekender travel bag is perfect for a quick weekend trip, or being your personal bag on a plane. When I travel with a carry-on, this is my go-to for a few reasons. First off, the trolley sleeve is genius. Not a lot of weekender bags have this and it is key for getting through an airport with ease. It just slides onto the handles of your carry on bag. There’s also a pocket in the front where I like to keep the things I need to reach for the most like my charger or eyemask when I’m on the flight. Inside, there are several compartments allowing you to keep yourself a bit more organized. While there’s not a traditional laptop compartment inside, there is a spot where it will fit.
Backpacks
I love to travel with a backpack. It keeps my hands free and I can use it when I’m out and about at my destination too. There are tons of backpack options at Vera Bradley from ones that are designed with a laptop compartment, to ones meant for more every day. These backpacks also have lots of interior pockets as well to keep you nice and organized. Lots of options to choose from. Below are some of my favorites.
Rolling Hard Case Luggage
I have tried their small carry-on luggage before and it’s great. I don’t know if it’s ground breaking, but it does the job. I’m personally not a huge fan of hard shell suitcases but if you like them, you might want to give these a try. They also have checked bag sizes as well.
Rolling Soft Luggage
If hardside spinner luggage isn’t your thing (it’s not really mine) there are soft options available. These have some additional pockets in the front for added organization. This is part of the reason why I actually prefer softside luggage. It’s nice to have things readily available in those front pockets.
Rolling Duffel
The rolling duffel is a great in-between of the weekender bag and a true carry-on bag. It has wheels making it easy to carry it through the airport. This comes in a few sizes if you need something bigger too.
Travel Organizers
Beyond the toiletry bag, there are several other styles of travel organizers. From pill containers, to makeup bags designed to hold your brushes and more. These can help keep your toiletries even more organized. I’m someone who likes to keep my hair stuff separate, and sometimes my suncare for beach trips. These organizers help to keep your products in one place.
Travel Wallets
When you travel, sometimes you want a slightly smaller travel wallet. There are a few options to choose from at Vera Bradley. From fun prints, to solid colors.
