A couple of weeks ago I met up with a new photographer in Atlanta. Bryce France. It was fun to shoot with someone new who has a whole different look and feel to them. He gave some suggestions while shooting that was much appreciated and I kind of love what we got. When we met up I didn’t even realize we’d be shooting. I just wanted to say hi and connect. But he offered to snap a few photos (thankfully I at least put on a little makeup this day) and love how it all turned out.
One thing I want to do more of in 2018 is focus on my imagery more. I spoke about this a few weeks ago in this post. I tend to rush through photo shoots and even though I have a shot list, I still almost always forget something. Typically I try to cram as much as I can in an hour. Although that may be more economical for my bottom line for my business, it sometimes results in me needing to reshoot something. Or it means I need to schedule yet another entire session to capture what I forgot or didn’t like because I was rushing.
I’m an impatient person so it’s no surprise this is something I struggle with. I prefer spending my time on writing or answering emails. The part I least like about what I do are the photos believe it or not. But because they’re so important to the rest of the business it’s something to focus on more.
PS my birthday is just a few days away. I’m focusing on helping to raise money for a favorite charity of mine here in Atlanta, Atlanta Humane Society. I’ve recently been volunteering here and love their passion for helping to find animals forever homes. If you’re interested in donating, you can go here to do so!
