Recently I styled this grey t-shirt dress two very simple ways for fall. Grabbing my two favorite jackets, denim and leather, to switch them up. I’ll be honest, it’s what I always default to. Those jackets get SO much use in my closet that I wanted to share a few more ways to style a simple t-shirt dress but with a few more fall appropriate light layers. I’m taking this simple black t-shirt dress (a more fitted version than this swing one) out for a spin.
Two Ways To Style A Black T-Shirt Dress For Fall
Whether you’re styling a slinky slip dress or a more casual t-shirt dress, here are two easy ways to style it. Both are great for fall, and honestly for spring too when the weather starts to warm up a bit. And this is especially great to wear when it’s just too hot out in the fall. Something that happens often here in the South!
How To Casually Style A Black T-Shirt Dress For Fall
For a more casual take on this look, just add a utility jacket and converse. You can go with any style you like too. I paired this with my camo utility jacket that’s a bit oversized and my platform Converse. I’d also do this with my olive green utilty jacket (this one is great and goes with so much). And for sneakers, throw on any of your favorite go to sneakers. This would also be cute with these olive Veja’s that I love for a more monochromatic olive look.

How To Dress Up A Black T-Shirt Dress For Fall
Now for a little more of a dressier look, you have to add a blazer. This long blazer has been a fall favorite of mine for two years now. One of my most worn pieces in my closet. It instantly adds a bit of edge to this simple black t-shirt dress but also makes it feel a bit more dressy too.
For shoes, you have a few options. You can totally go super dressy and add a heeled bootie or even a pump. But I kept things more comfortable and did a suede chelsea boot. This still feels dressy enough to wear out to dinner, or even on a date for drinks. But still cool and casual enough for everyday.
