If you’re a blogger or creative, today’s post is for you! I’m so excited that we’re heading into our 7th Annual Blog Societies Conference this August 16-19th at Barnsley Resort. This conference is truly for bloggers by bloggers. A three-day event hosted by The Blog Societies featuring brand networking events, hands-on workshops with industry leaders and keynote speakers to inspire your business and growth.
Cathy of Poor Little It Girl and I started The Blog Societies 7 years ago. Formerly known as Southern Blog Society, we were just covering 11 states and really didn’t think it would become as big as it is now. We kicked off our first ever event with a 12 person brunch in Atlanta. With bloggers from all across the Southeast driving in to meet, network and be surrounded with like-minded people, we knew we were onto something.
Year after year this event has grown and we have found our stride! This 3 day event will leave you inspired with the tools necessary to grow your blogs and a long list of new contacts and friends within your network. You’ll also go home with quite a bit of swag which never hurts too! We’re kind of known for it. No sample sizes, no coupons, just great product to start creating content with.
The Blog Societies Conference
The annual Blog Societies Conference has been evolving over the last few years. What was once a 12 person brunch, to a one-day event, and now a full on 3-day immersive experience. Here’s what to expect at the 2019 Blog Societies Annual Conference.
day one
This year’s Blog Societies Conference event will be held on August 16-19th, 2019 at Barnsley Resort. We kick the weekend off with our big welcome party. This party is hosted by many of our Gold Sponsors who are eager to network with attendees. It’s a great time to mingle, share your business cards, have a cocktail or two with new and old friends and start the weekend on the right foot. For 2019, we have some great partners to kick the event off with like DryBar, Ink + Alloy, Podia, Marc Fisher, Kendra Scott, Essie, My Kind Of Lovely and Cosmedix.
day two
Day two is always our biggest educational day full of workshops and networking. This year, we have some incredible new workshops that we’ve never offered before. We always take into consideration the feedback from past years’ events to help navigate the content we’ll create for the workshops and conference. This year we’ll be chatting email marketing, defining your brand, Instagram, how to pitch and SEO just to name a few. All the things you need to learn in the blog world to help grow your business.
To break up the day, Marc Fisher LTD will be hosting an intimate luncheon. Get to see the newest collection before it hits shelves and network with brand representatives to continue networking and building those important relationships.
After lunch, we’re kicking off something new this year, creative breakouts! Since TBS is all about community, we wanted to create really fun creative breakouts that are more team-building style. We’ll have a cookie decorating class, floral arranging and attendees can also head out to horseback ride or skeet shoot!
To finish the day off, we’re having dinner al fresco with Yankee Candle. More networking, more community building and good fun. Finish the night off with s’mores by the firepit at Barnsley Resort.
day three
For our final day, we’ll gather as a group for our general session. We’ll be hearing from some incredible speakers from the industry. I’m personally most excited to hear from our keynote, Jess Ann Kirby. A lifestyle blogger based in Rhode Island who has created an absolutely beautiful brand. Learn how to master Instagram with Manu of Your Social Team, grow your revenue streams with courses and downloads from Podia and lastly, legal chat with the ever-popular Brittany Stevens of Lawyer Lookbook. She’s back for her third year in a row!
Before you head home, you can head out on one last adventure, a spa service or lounge by the pool. Not a bad way to end a 3 day weekend, right?
Why You Should Attend The Blog Societies Annual Conference
Grow Your Network
This event is truly a great time to grow your network. Brands who are attending are eager to meet influencers to work with and get to know them better. Besides brands, you’ll also grow your network of community and fellow bloggers. We’re all about cultivating community and this years’ event has a big focus on just that.
Build Your Business
Take your email marketing to the next level, master SEO and learn how to generate more revenue through downloads and courses. Our workshops are designed to help give you tangible tools that you can start implementing into your business immediately. Most of our attendees see an increase in traffic, blog partnerships and overall confidence in their business.
Learn New Tangible Tips and Tricks
Our workshop leaders and speakers are here to help and are around all weekend long. Pick their brain over s’mores or a cocktail too! We aim to have workshops that are truly designed to help you and your business right now. This isn’t surface level or “how to post to Instagram” these workshops are truly business-focused for immediate results! One of the best things we find that happens at #TBScon are learning from one another. The blog industry is ever changing and getting to hear from your peers can be the best learning experience.
Get Inspired
You can’t NOT come to The Blog Societies Conference and not leave feeling inspired. It’s simply impossible. Between being surrounded by like-minded people, to hearing from your peers and industry leaders and experts, you’ll feel inspired and ready to hit the ground running when you return home. There’s just something about getting out of your normal routine that helps to inspire and spark new ideas. So don’t forget your notebook for all those great ideas! Or you can actually because you’ll definitely be getting one in your welcome bag!
Create Fresh Beautiful Content For Your Blog
With a photographer on site the entire weekend, we’ll be capturing stunning content of our attendees and experiences throughout the conference. And don’t forget to ask a friend to snap a photo of you at the beautiful Barnsley Resort grounds. It’s truly picture perfect. We’ll also have sessions for you to book with our photographer to get full blog posts to share post-conference.
