I can’t even believe that I’m writing this post. But I have officially switched my nail color up for summer and it is not a new shade of red, or orange. Instead, I am all in on blue summer nails. After getting a blue mani with Lakur’s Poolside Dreams, I’m officially a fan.
The only thing I can say about this color is that it is giving such a vibe to my summer looks. It’s a pop of color I didn’t think would work, but turns out, it’s so spot on for the season. While we tend to reach for blues maybe in the fall and winter, there are many shades of blue that work for the summer months. Think bright and bold, or soft pastels. Electric blues, cobalt blues, baby blues.
We’re not seeing a lot of minty blues when it comes to blue summer nails. But instead, lean into the true bright blues for the season. Leave the navy blue or royal blue nails for the cooler months, because summer is going to be all about bright blue manicures! So let’s talk about one of the best nail colors for summer, blue nails!

Complementary Polish Colors To Blue Manicures
I’m someone who usually coordinates my polish on my nails and toes. I either go all red, or do a mix of colors that work together. I don’t think you always have to match perfectly. But, I do like when they at least work together.
A few colors that would work should you choose to try out a blue manicure this summer, is to go with butter yellows, different shades of blue, white nails, and soft oranges and pinks. Even a chocolate brown would be nice against the blues.
