I have always been, and will always be, a sucker for a good wide leg jean. something I am noticing though are a more wide leg trouser style. Versus a jean that is fitted to the knee, then flared. But I still feel as though all the various wide leg styles really do work. And I couldn’t resist grabbing these Sezane 70’s inspired trouser style jeans. They are just so damn good.
Sezane 70s Trousers
These trouser style jeans are really such a fun addition to your closet. They’re a high rise with patch pockets making them feel like I belong in That 70’s Show. The brown is a fun change of pace from all the denim in my closet. And honestly, all the utility green I am quickly accumulating.
They also come in a blush color that I think is super fun for spring. Honestly, if I had the pink, I’d style them the exact same way. White eyelet style top and a blue suede moto jacket. A fun play with pastel colors for spring.
For sizing, I always size up at least one size in Sézane denim or bottoms. You can read my full sizing guide on Sezane here if you’ve never shopped the brand before. I want to say I took two sizes up in these jeans mostly to fit my thighs and hips. I am planning on taking these in at the waist for the perfect fit.
PS If your size or color preference is sold out, I would suggest creating a back in stock alert. Sometimes things come back from returns or restocks.
Styling Brown Wide Leg Jeans
I really wanted to lean into the 70’s vibes with this look. Paired it with the Sezane Gaya shirt which is a beautiful intricate lace style blouse. It’s got some structure to it and like a stiffness that makes it feel less like a lacey top and more like a very cool top.
Threw on my blue suede jacket that I love to wear during this in-between seasons of winter to spring. It’s a great transition piece. And to finish it off, my Veronica Beard clogs. A full on 70’s vibe and I am 100% here for it.
