I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling for my day job. From fun and exciting places like Miami, Vegas and LA, to the not so glamorous, Charlottesville Virginia, Shelby North Carolina and more. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to a few places in Italy, been to Paris (but need to go back since 36 hours and most of those asleep, I didn’t get enough of it!) and London. That’s definitely more than a lot of people can say which makes me feel very lucky. But then I look at some of my friends who live overseas (talking to you Vicky!) and my gal Lisa of Pink Heals who has road tripped to places I didn’t even know existed. It’s people like them who inspire me to keep traveling, keep going and keep checking things off my bucket list.
I’m guilty of thinking buying new things will make me happy and feel fulfilled but deep down. I know that’s not true (although I do love my new West Elm end table, just saying) but it’s a quick fix sometimes. So while chatting with Lisa a few days ago about traveling and how my business travel isn’t checking off any bucket list items, she encouraged me to start a Pinterest board. Just like outfits and recipes I want to try, why not put all the places I want to visit in front of me to remind myself that they need to be done. I’m still adding to this list and hoping to check a few things off in the coming months like San Francisco and Napa, or maybe Austin and finally seeing Marfa.
