Club Monaco Leather Skirt | J. Crew Striped Turtleneck | BLANK NYC Jacket | Sole Society Booties | Welden Bags | Fleece Lined Tights
A few weeks ago I received an invite for a candle making class at the newly opened Candlefish at Ponce City Market. Charleston has one of these that I’ve seen on past visits to King Street., So I was a little familiar but had never smelled their candles. Plus, I had no idea they did candle making classes. I thought it would be a fun thing to do during the week to get out of the house and mingle with some fellow blog friends. I wore this little wannabe French girl outfit for the night and realized how much I need to start wearing more of my skirts! Seriously, a leather skirt and tights are truly the perfect fall look.
The class was so much fun and honestly, wasn’t expecting it to be THAT fun. I loved getting to smell all the different scents they had. They have exactly 100 and an entire library that you can go through. I think I made it through about half and ended up loving two scents the most. For easy reference, scents are numbered and my two favorites were #92 and #39. 92 is also known as sexy man, which is just that, it smells like an amazing cologne. And the second, number 39. I can’t really describe this one, but it reminds me slightly of an Anthropologie store but better.
Once we selected our oils to create our candles, we headed to grab all the supplies. There weren’t many things required to create our very own candles, just wax and a wick! From start to finish, the process didn’t take long. Plus it was super fun and interesting to see how it’s all done. The great part is you get to leave with two of your very own candles.
