I can distinctly remember the first time I ever spent good money on a great bra. I was around 21, fresh out of college and went to Nordstrom to find a big girl bra. After trying on tons of bras, brands and styles I ended up picking up a Chantelle demi bra in black and nude. They were (and still are) two of my favorite bras in my lingerie drawer. Recently I did a big clean out of my bra drawer and have tossed all my old, ill-fitting ones that just don’t do my girls any justice.
After a good clean out though, you have to do a good haul to upgrade. I headed back to Nordstrom last week and had a formal bra fitting with a Chantelle fit specialist. Ladies, if you aren’t getting your girls measured properly, do yourself a favor and schedule one now. You’re more than likely wearing the wrong size which can not only be uncomfortable but not flattering under your clothing. All very important things to be concerned about considering you live in your bras.
I headed in and met with Valerie who helped me find some new pieces to add to my lingerie drawer. After a quick measure, she headed out to pull some bras for me to try. I tried them all ladies! From demi cups, to unlined lace bras to racer back ones, I gave them all a whirl. I fell in love with just about every single one I tried on but ended up coming home with 5 great essentials for every occasion. I’ll be sharing my 5 must have bras next week with Chantelle and until them, be sure to schedule yourself a personal bra fitting with one of Chantelle’s fit experts here.
