I was looking to use up some over ripe bananas the other day and wanted to try something a little different. While I always resort to a classic banana bread when my bananas have seen better days, I thought a chocolate banana bread version could be fun to try.
Little fun fact about me, I hate bananas the second they are fully yellow and start to develop a single brown freckle. Something about an over ripe banana makes me want to throw up. But what doesn’t make me throw up ever, is a super ripe banana, mashed up, with chocolate, and then baked into a fabulous decadent bread.
In an effort to not eat the whole thing (because this is something I could definitely do in about 2 days flat on my own if not sooner) I was super generous and gave a third to my sister and the other third to my Mom for her to serve up to her Mahjong friends.

Recipe adapted by Evil Shenanigans. See their original recipe here.
Instructions
Step One
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease your loaf pans.
Step Two
Cream the sugar oil together in combined. Then add in the eggs one by one.
Step Three
Mash your bananas and then mix them into your wet ingredients.
Step Four
Add your dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Step Five
To add in your chocolate chips, you’ll first want to toss them in a bit of flour so they don’t sink to the bottom. Once coated in some flour, fold them into the batter. Pour your batter into two loaf pans. Then pop your chocolate banana bread in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. You can also top the banana bread with even more chocolate chips. I’d do this about half way through so they don’t sink.
