I’m definitely not one to wear a bright outfit or choose bold colors. Mostly I’m team neutrals or muted tones. I lean into earth tones a lot too. But I’ve found when it comes to my shoes, I like to have a little more fun with color!
My Favorite Cute Colorful Sneakers
There are several brands that do fun cute colorful sneakers really well. And whether you want something more sleek like a Veja or Stan Smith, or go for a chunkier sneaker like my Madewell Trainers or a Dad sneaker, there are options!
I personally am team chunky sneaker. And if I’m doing a Converse, I’ll opt for the platform versions. I just like the clunkiness I guess!
A few colorful sneakers I have in my closet that I love are my Madewell Trainers. They have fewer colorways right now, hoping they add more for fall. And I love anything New Balance. There are so many options from the popular 327 sneakers and also the classic 574 sneakers which now come in a platform version too!
If Nike is more your thing, try a pair of Nike Dunks. They come in tons of color options and a high or low top.
Below are some of my favorite cute colorful sneakers to shop right now. And if you need the perfect socks to pair with your sneakers, check out this blog post to see the no-show ones I swear by!

Tips To Styling Bold Sneakers
I think you can do a couple of things when it comes to styling bold or colorful sneakers. And neither one is more correct or fashionable than the other. It’s just your own personal preference and style.
Pair With Neutrals And Let The Sneakers Be The Statement
The first opiton is to go neutral. You can do this with neutrals like creams, whites and the like. Or try denim like I did today in this denim dress (from Sezane but old).
You can wear a denim jumpsuit that’s cool and edgy and pair it with your favorite bold fashion sneakers. Or you can go very minimalist and let the sneakers really be the statement. Try lightwash or darkwash denim and a favorite worn-in and relaxed tee.
Go Monochromatic With One Of The Colors
Add in some color and pick a shade from your shoes and add it to your outfit. Wearing a pink sneaker? Try a pink tee with denim. Or head to toe pink. Yes, it works! This is for the bold and colorful girlies for sure. But I love this idea!
And even if you’re sneaker is more muted or pastel, or not bright and bold, but still has some colors, that works too. If you’re wearing a soft muted green sneaker, pair with olives and hunter green for a monochromatic look.
More Tips On How To Wear Colorful Shoes
Wearing colorful shoes doesn’t stop at sneakers. From bold boots, to fun and colorful heels, there are so many ways to incorporate color into your wardrobe if you don’t want to do it through clothing. Which is usually how I add color to my looks!

Today’s Look
While I wish this Sezane dress is still in stock, sadly it isn’t. It is such a fun oversized button down shirt dress. It’s so big and roomy (kind of wish I sized down, but it’s fine!). And as soon as I threw it on I knew I wanted to style it with bold sneakers.
It just made sense to add a bit of cool and fashion to such a shapeless dress. I’ll be styling this into fall with knee high boots too which will be super cute and balance out the very loose dress.
And a quick mention of these accessories. This Sezane bag has been a summer favorite. It surprisingly fits a lot and just goes with everything. And these Alma Sezane sunglasses are a really fun retro shape. Such a nice change of pace from my oversized pairs I have been living in for years.
