When I was a kid living in Canada, my Mom always shopped at a store called Jacob Junior. I have no idea if they had it in the states, but it was my Mom’s go to store for my wardrobe. I remember having adorable little dresses, swimsuits, you name it, I wore it. It was basically my Madewell as a kid. A few pieces I remember having were all floral prints. The 90s floral prints. You remember those? This photo on my Instagram is a good idea of what I used to wear from Jacob Junior. What was it about those 90s floral prints that have me thrown back the second I see something remotely similar? This tank top I got from Madewell brings me WAY back and I just had to have it. Styling denim culottes with it has me feeling like a real 90s kid right now. For two reasons obviously. One, it brought back a flood of memories of my beloved floral print as a kid, and two, it’s a great overall tank. Ps if you aren’t into tanks, it also comes in this cute short-sleeved knotted version here.
90s floral is having a MAJOR comeback. And guess what? I’m not mad about it. I’ll rock it all over again. It’s just that good. What makes 90s floral what it is? I think there’s a few things to it. Any daisy print usually has me feeling nostalgiac instantly. Plus a good contrast. White daisies on a black background are a surefire 90’s go to. Also, a busy pattern. Like these florals are not 90s approved. But a really busy, small floral pattern with lots of flowers is exactly how I imagine 90s floral patterns. I’ve rounded up some favorite floral dresses below that I’m loving. This one particularly brings me WAY back. If you’re ready for fall fashion, just add a cozy cardigan and some flat booties to any of these dresses and tops to make them perfect for fall!
