One of my most fond memories in the late 90s and early 00s was watching TRL. Total Request Live on MTV was EVERYTHING. I loved watching the countdown each day after school. Carson Daly would play the top 10 music videos for the day and finding out what was #1 was always a thrill. Would it be Backstreet Boys or N SYNC? And sprinkled in between the videos would be special guests like Mariah Carey or KORN, or Britney Spears. It was the good old days. I remember calling in to get KORN to the #1 spot because the boy bands always took over and they were always stuck at #3. Does anyone else remember this week of drama on TRL?

Concert Tees
One of the things I’ve been on the hunt for are concert tees from this time period. I have so many concert tees like this Rolling Stones one and this Led Zeppelin one. But the 90s and early aughts don’t really have any great concert tees. I just want a good Backstreet Boys one, or Mariah Carey. Even Blink 182. I’ve browsed everywhere. They’re hard to come by. Especially ones that are soft, perfectly oversized and fit nicely. Daydreamer LA did come out with a few like Shania, Whitney, Britney Spears and Spice Girls. But, I did grab this MTV graphic tee from Target and it is just so cute and perfect. I’ve worn it more times than I care to admit.
Shop Concert Tees
To dress down these gingham shorts, I added this MTV graphic tee and some Chucks. It’s the perfect summer look. I love the mix of the graphic tee with the printed shorts. The tee runs a bit small and you can definitely size up at least one to two sizes. For sure two if you want a more oversized fit. It also comes in lots of colors as well. I also styled these shorts another day here with a cute crop top and jacket. They’re great for summer and they’re linen! Making them light and breezy for hot and humid summer days.
