I discovered DISSH from another creator who shared this striped set a couple years ago. And ever since, I have been obsessively wanting everything from them. Their pieces are just so good, minimal, but cool, and they quickly become favorites.

DISSH Sizing Guide And Buying Tips
What Is DISSH?
DISSH is an Australian based apparel company that is female owned. The CEO and Creative Director, Lucy Henry-Hicks, launched DISSH in 2001 with her mother. In 2020, Lucy took over as Director and focused on sustainability. With more refined collections and the use of natural fibers and the idea that clothing should last in your wardrobe for years, DISSH has now become a beloved Australian brand.
I think one of my favorite things about them is their tagline that they believe in making effortless style an everyday habit. And I couldn’t agree with that sentiment more. Their pieces feel effortless and don’t require much else to feel elevated. Simple, yet cool and elevated.
DISSH Sizing Review + Tips
I’m usually a size 4 or 6 and find myself falling in-between these two at most retailers these days. At LOFT, Madewell, J.Crew and Everlane I’m often a small or 4. Unless something is very fitted, I will size up to a 6. At retailers like Reformation, DISSH and Sezane, I always size up to my larger size without a doubt.
At DISSH, I find that I need to almost always go with my larger size no matter what. I have always found Australian sizing to run a bit on the smaller size and that is the case for me in DISSH. I have tried just about every type of clothing from dresses, skirts, tops and shorts. And without question, I take a 6 or medium.
For super oversized pieces, I can sometimes see my regular size fitting, but usually still end up in the larger size. I find the chest is where I end up having to size up with their fit. I would equate this brand to fitting fairly similarly to Reformation sizing (but higher quality fabrics in my opinion).
Shipping And Return Tips When Shopping at DISSH
Since you’re ordering from Australia, you do need to be aware of shipping, returns and yes, custom fees. If you’re ordering in the USA or Canada, and spend over $100, your order ships free and within 3-7 business days. Under $100, and it’s only $10.
For any customs and duties shipping into the USA, you will potentially incur fees when your order is valued over $800. Be mindful when placing your order to stay at or under this number to avoid fees.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the sender and is a flat $20. Keep this in mind when shopping. I suggest ordering multiple sizes so you are only doing one return if possible.
Favorite Outfits Featuring DISSH
Here are a few of my favorite looks featuring pieces by DISSH in my closet. Many are several years old already and are still pieces I reach for. I truly love this brand so much for how minimal, yet elevated the items are. They are well made and always pieces that make me feel really good. If you do not see an item linked it’s because it’s an older style and no longer available. I will always link exact items whenever possible.

Matching Skirt Set
This is a set that I just had to have. It felt so fun and different but also super on brand for my personal style. I ended up buying the skirt in an 8 because it was the only size they had left. I got it altered to fit perfectly (highly recommend doing this on pieces you just love and want to fit perfectly).
As for the top, this is a size 6 and while the bralette in the matching set below was way too small, this was a true top and found this to fit like the rest of their tops. It has ruching in the back so it allows for a good fit.

Linen Dresses
This white dress is one of the newer items in my closet and I just adore it. It’s 100% linen, super flattering, and oh so comfy. I went up to my larger size 6 in this, and will say, the chest is still a smidge snug.
I am debating bringing it in to see if they can take it out a smidge, otherwise I am hoping since it’s linen that it’ll just stretch a little. It’s still wearable and not a huge issue, but I would say if your chest is larger, you’ll definitely want to size up to accommodate for things that are super fitted in the chest area.

The Maxi Dress
DISSH seems to stick to this silhouette and cut a lot an adjust switches up the fabrics, prints and details. More popular in fall and winter for the collection, you’ll see this cut and style a lot. I love the fit of this dress as it feels like it was meant for a body with womanly curves.
A lot of times slip dresses cut like this can be very straight up and down. Which can result in being too tight in the chest and hips, but loose in the waist. This dress is cut perfectly to hug you in all the right places. It reminds me a lot of a Reformation slip dress in how it fits.
The straps are usually adjustable too so you can get the perfect fit. I took my larger size 6 in this, but found the 4 fit pretty good too. It was more of a comfort thing to go up to the 6 so I didn’t feel super obligated to put on my lazy Spanx to wear this.

Shorts And Button Downs
This was the set that turned me into a DISSH fan. I saw this on Lindsay Albanese and could not order it fast enough. The top came with a bralette that in no way would ever fit a chest beyond a very small B (even though I ordered a 6 and an 8). But the button down itself is great. I could’ve truly worn a 4 or 6 in this, as they are very roomy.
As for the shorts, I definitely felt better in a larger size. The elastic is pretty strong so if they are even a smidge snug, they are pressing quite a bit. DISSH always has great matching sets like these in cotton or linen and they are always so cool and effortless. They make a great simple summer outfit, or can easily be elevated with a heel and nicer bag.
If you’ve been thinking about shopping this Australian clothing brand, I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s one of my most favorite brands and truly would love to own one of everything in my closet. The minimal color palette and simple styles still somehow feel so special.
