This year has been without a doubt, totally ridiculous. I’ve never travelled so much in my life. And sadly, my parents have seen more of Pork than I think I have. As of right now, my next trip isn’t until the end of July which is actually a family vacation to the one and only, Sin City. Until then, my life really does look like eat, sleep, blog, repeat. This is the longest I’ve been home since the beginning of the year, which will be a full 6 weeks. To say I’m going a little nuts is an understatement.
It’s the first time in 2017 that I’m really able to sit and blog non stop, focus on content and maybe make some changes. I mentioned in this post a couple weeks ago that I’ve been in a bit of a rut, feeling stuck and looked to you, the reader, for some inspiration. To see what you like, don’t like, want to see more of and so on. As it turns out, you all are looking for more personal posts. So here it is today. Personal.
I’m not sure if it was turning 30, or starting to see more friends have some big life changes from marriages to moving and promotions, but it’s been a tough one emotionally for me. Traveling doesn’t help either. As much as I absolutely love jetting off to anywhere and everywhere, a feeling of withdrawal is now very common when I return home. Almost as if I’m annoyed or anxious about dealing with reality and my same old routine.
On top of that, I’ve been feeling concerned about what the future of blogging looks like. I mean, do I want to be taking outfit photos in 10 years? Will there even be a blog world then? What would I even do otherwise and why the fuck am I still single at 30? All things that run through my head constantly lately. It’s easy to compare yourself even when you think you don’t. I like to think I’m pretty independent, confident and beat to my own drum; however, I think it’s easy with the social media world nowadays, to compare yourself without even realizing you’re doing it.
So as I have lots of time at home this month and next, it’s a lot of eat, sleep, blog and repeat. It’s made me focus on what on earth am I sharing with you and how it can be more meaningful or at least enjoyable with varying content. As much as I love clothing and fashion, how many more times can I say this outfit is so cute? I’d like to share more lifestyle posts, tips on getting dressed, feeling good and more. Plus getting personal. Which isn’t easy to do, so I’d love any recommendations on what you’d like to hear more of.
