This weekend I got back from being out of town for the last week with some girlfriends. Headed to beautiful Arizona and loved every second of it! Now that I’m back in Atlanta, it’s officially shorts season. There is no turning back. The warm weather and intense humidity are here to stay.
While packing for my trip this past week I actually did a big audit of my shorts drawer. And it’s safe to say I needed to toss some things. Between a bit of COVID weight gain, and maybe just being 34, it was time for some new shorts. And maybe some more adult shorts, if you will.
A few shorts that I still love year after year are in this post. A great linen pair, a good pair of denim shorts and cotton twill. And these Everlane pull on shorts are new and here to stay, too. I love the fit and length of the inseam. Plus, they’re easy to throw on and go with. Easy to dress up a bit with an espadrille, or pair with a sneaker.
Everlane Pull On Easy Shorts
It’s no secret I’m an Everlane fan, clearly. I’ve reviewed their denim here and their winter coats here. So it’s only natural I had to chat about these easy shorts. They come in 6 colors, so lots of options. Including a pretty blue and white railroad stripe and a really cute spotted print.
I took my usual size 4, but to be honest, could have also done the size up as well and would have been a good fit too. If you’re in between sizes, I’d definitely recommend sizing up in the Everlane easy short.
Styling these are super easy. They very much can go casual or dressy. And I loved pairing it with a simple tank and espadrilles but adding a third piece with this star print utility jacket. Another Pistola Denim find that I’ve been loving. This jacket is great to throw on over jeans and a tank, or shorts too. It’s a nice update to my Madewell utility jacket with the fun star print.
