As you know, I’m all about comfortable and casual pieces that look great. A brand that seems to do that so well time and time again is Everlane. One of my first items from this San Francisco brand was a backpack. This beloved backpack has been with me all over the globe. I had worn it so often that it was part of this blog post several years ago.
But this brand is known for way more than just a great backpack. They have incredible denim that looks and fits great, cozy sweaters in cotton and cashmere, great jackets and evecn down coats and shoes. They have it all.
The thing I love most about Everlane is its transparency. They are all about transparency with not only their factories that they use but also their pricing. Which means their soft as can be cashmere is affordable. And their leather boots that would normally retail for hundreds of dollars are half what they would be at a department store. Most importantly, though, I love that you can feel good about buying from a brand that believes in working with ethical factories as well.
You also won’t find this brand at any department store. Why? Because that’s just another way that they keep their prices down. By cutting out the middleman and selling directly to consumers, they can pass along the savings to us. And that is just why I love to shop here.
Everlane Reviews + My Sizing Guide And Tips
These are my favorite pieces in my closet from everyday tees, jeans and sweaters. Plus, outerwear and even shoes, there are so many essentials in my wardrobe that I rely on from Everlane as they are super high quality, fit well and don’t break the bank.
Everlane Sizing Guide
For sizing, I am 5’5 and a 32DD and usually find myself in sizes 4/6, 27/28 and S/M. In almost all of their jeans I do a size 28 and the shorter inseam, 27.5 inches. For fitted pieces, I do typically size up to a medium. In blazers and jackets, a small or size 4 works well. I find that a lot of their jackets are a more oversized fit and not super tailored. I find that Everlane runs true to size.
A-Line Denim Shorts
Hands down the Everlane a-line denim shorts are my most loved denim shorts in my closet. I have them in two washes and wear them on repeat. They’re an a-line fit so they allow a little room in your thighs which is nice. The high rise is great and feels really polished. I take my regular size in these. Would size up if in-between or want a more comfortable fit.
Everlane: The Way High Jean 2.0
The Way High jeans are one of my most loved straight leg jeans in my closet. They made a few updates, hence the 2.0, to make them even better. This is your ultimate straight leg, everyday jean, you can wear with everything. It comes in several washes and also varying inseams so you can get the perfect fit.
There are two inseam options on the Way High Jean 2.0, 27.5″ inseam and 29.5″ inseam. I am 5’5 and consider myself to have slightly shorter legs. The 27.5″ inseam is my go-to as it is the perfect length to slightly show off the ankle. This allows me to wear them with nearly every type of shoe in my closet from sandals, heels, sneakers and even sock booties. Want more Everlane denim reviews? The Oversized Blazer In Wool
I love this Everlane oversized blazer. The wool makes it more of a light jacket in those late fall days. But you can still wear it all day without overheating. It’s an oversized fit so definitely take your regular size, or size down if you’re more petite or in-between. It comes in a few colors and it’s perfect for styling with the Way High Jean or a slim trouser.
The Oversized Blazer in Buttersmooth
An absolute staple for a third piece to complete outfits is the Oversized Blazer in Buttersmooth by Everlane. It’s the perfect fit. Slightly long, but not crazy oversized. I just love this piece. And I need it in more colors. I take my usual size in this, a size 4.
The Luxe Rib Tee Collection
These luxe rib long sleeve tees are a staple in my closet for a few reasons. First, they come in few neckline options, a crew, scoop and even a turtleneck. I live in the scoop and crew and have them in many colors. In this collection are also the Henley tees, short sleeve crews, 3/4 sleeves, funnel necks and more. All perfectly thin, but not really sheer, and feel amazingly soft on your skin too.
They are the perfect base for layering. I wear them under sweaters in the dead of winter. But they are also great for wearing as is as the perfect fitted comfortable long sleee tee. I wear them often with just a pair of jeans and then a third piece on top. I take a size medium in these as they are quite fitted.
The Boxy Sweater In Everyday Cotton
Hands down the best sweater ever. This 100% organic cotton sweater is cozy and the perfect boxy fit. If you are sensitive to wool, you know the struggle of finding good cotton sweaters. This is my holy grail. I love it for wearing as is, or layering it over a button down. Throw it over your shoulders for a perfect little styling trick. It comes in some great colors and stripes. I prefer a medium in this for a slightly relaxed fit.
Everlane says to handwash this, but I typically throw it into the wash in a lingerie bag on cold and hang to dry. It comes out perfect. More tips on how to care and wash your sweaters here.
The Everlane City Boot and Everlane Knee High City Boot
If you need a classic comfortable boot that works with your straight leg jeans, the Everlane City Boot is the moec. It’s comfortable and sleek, and pairs perfectly with the Way High Jeans. This style also comes in a knee high version great to pair with dresses and skirts. I find the shoes run a bit small at Everlane and I like to size up to a 9 as someone who is usually an 8 or 8.5. I’m either an 8.5 or 9 in their shoes.
Everlane has a great selection of boots and booties too. From more high heeled options, suede, ankle and knee high. A few other notable favorites are the Day Boot, the kitten heel boot and the glove boot. Rounding them all up below.

Whether you’re looking for a great puffer coat, or a wool one, Everlane has you covered. Everlane offers a wide selection of outerwear essentials. Choose from trench coats and lightweight quilted jackets for fall, to heavier options like their EverPuff puffer coats to their wool coats, and more. I take my usual size in all of their coats.
Everlane Outerwear: EverPuff
With Everlane’s sustainability top of mind, their puffer collection includes the EverPuff material. Not only are their puffers cozy and cute, the EverPuff material is made entirely from recycled materials including the down fill. Everlane Outerwear: ReWool
As for their wool pieces, the ReWool is GRS-certified recycled wool and recycled polyester. What exactly does that mean? It means that the wool and the polyster are both recycled, reducing the need for virgin plastic, keeping polyester out of landfills and skipping the resource-heavy process of producing new wool. This is a fabric you can feel good about wearing, purchasing and look good in.
Everlane Dresses & Skirts
From the office in classic dresses and pencil skirts, to casual weekends, Everlane has a nice selection of options to choose from. Choose a cozy cashmere dress for winter, or a silky slip dress for a date night. I find their dresses run true to size. In the spring and summer you can often find a great t-shirt dress or tank dress that’s effortless in cotton and oh so comfy.
The Utility Barrel
Even if you’re not into a barrel leg, I find these really just fit like a great pair of straight leg pants. I love that they come in so many colors and have a bit of stretch in them. They’re super comfortable. If you find yourself in-between sizes, I’d definitely size up on these. I took my larger size. They also offer these pants in a regular length or tall.
It’s no surprise that Everlane is a favorite brand in my wardrobe. They are the best when it comes to closet basics from their ribbed tees, to their classic jeans and clean-lined blazers. The quality is great, the fit is perfect, and I can always count on these for helping to build an outfit with. But most importantly, when you want to make smarter, more eco-friendly choices with your clothing, this is the place I always turn to.
