Did you survive the long, indulgent weekend? I spent way more time on my couch than I really care to admit. Spent Thursday with family, and the remainder of the weekend on the couch with Pork watching all the TV I could possibly consume. I did venture out on Saturday night to catch Bad Santa 2 with a girlfriend so I was somewhat social. Overall, I’m 100% ready to get back to work (truth be told, I was really working a little bit the entire weekend….). I’ve been slowly going through all my old posts to update them and it’s been a real treat finding old gems. It’s an easy sort of mindless task that can be done on the couch thankfully.
Now that Turkey Day is over though, we are all in for Christmas folks. The clock is quickly running out until the big day and I still (even though I’ve said it 100 times) don’t feel like it should be the holidays. 2016 has flown by and I don’t know how I feel about that.
A part of me thinks it flew by because this has been one of the most well traveled years I’ve ever had. So many incredible experiences and memories. Like this trip to Chicago to work on some of The Blog Societies annual conference details and scope out the city. This was one of the most fun days ever. Cathy and I visited Parson’s Chicken & Fish where we devoured fried sandwiches and guzzled down frozen cocktails. We then headed to Langham Place Chicago for high tea where we were most definitely out of place. The hotel is beyond glamorous. Then napped HARD. It was a fun filled day of eating and drinking.
I almost completely forgot about this trip until I noticed I hadn’t shared this last look yet. Plus, my camera is still full of all the food photos we took. A trip back is definitely in order but I’ll think I’ll wait until AFTER it snows.
