Fun fact about me and my old 9-5 job right out of college… I used to head to Express at least once a week to buy new office clothes and get in some retail therapy. If you know me, you know I hated that job more than anything and shopping at Express brought me all the joy. It was a favorite store in college too for going out dresses and tops (remember those, ha!)
Sure I haven’t bought work pants in forever, but they still are my favorite spot for those types of things if you do need them. Great fit, quality and price. But I obviously shop there now for more everyday pieces like sweaters and cardigans and even coats. My Favorite Cardigans
The cardigan I’m wearing in today’s post is this one here. It definitely runs big and I’m just doing a small. I could’ve definitely gone for an XS. It also comes in a few other colors. Below are some more cardigans that are great to layer over your favorite tee and leggings, jeans, or even a dress.
9-5 Essentials
This was my go-to store for all my 9-5 essentials. Suits, separates, blouses, you name it, I got it from Express. I still think they have a great selection, especially for the price. If you need a new suit, or some new blouses to freshen up your office wardrobe, this is the time to do it. Holiday Party Pieces
If I ever needed a quick, affordable, party dress I always head to Express. You can usually find something stylish and sexy under $100. Plus, there are so many great separates right now from cool leather pants, sparkly culottes and blazers, to fun dresses. With the season looking different than usual, I love the idea of a more laid back smaller gathering in comfortable separates instead of a fitted dress. And this is definitely not something I like to spend a ton of money on either. This is why I typically find myself at Express for any one time pieces that I know I won’t get a ton of use out of.
Cozy Loungewear
Loungewear and cozy pieces are essential wardrobe basics these days. But also great for gifting this holiday season. From cozy sweaters, joggers and sweatpants and even sweatshirts and hoodies. Wear them as sets, or pair them with jeans for a more put together outfit. Either way, cozy is in, and these are my favorites.
