I’m slowly getting into some fall items I’ve recently purchased and I couldn’t be more excited about that. Transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall is all about balancing the seasons within an outfit. It can be tricky, but sometimes a good formula, like today’s, is easy to replicate every single time. Since the weather is just so hot here, I’m still into shorts. And I’ll be wearing them for a while. But adding in some fall elements is how I like to ease into a new season. Even if we’re not yet into fall officially. I’m mentally there with fashion.
Faux Leather Blazer Outfit Idea
One piece for fall that I am beyond excited to style, is this faux leather blazer. I picked this up during the big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it is just such a good find. I love the sage color. It not only will work for fall and well into winter with browns, dark denim and even navy. But it’s a good color to style now too with lighter shades of denim and creams.
I knew this is exactly how I wanted to style this faux leather blazer for those in-between days we’re officially having. The humidity has died down a bit, but it’s still in the 70s. This is the outfit I want to grab. Keeping accessories still a bit summery makes it feel like I’m not 100% in fall mode too. This J.Crew bag has been a closet staple this summer. I have gotten so much use out of it.

How To Style A Faux Leather Blazer For Fall
Come fall, this is going to be a piece I gravitate towards a lot. I already know it. It’ll be perfect to pair with straight-leg denim and a little ankle bootie. Would also be great with skinny jeans — yes you can still wear them read this post. For skinny jeans, I’d pair with my Dr Marten boots, or a chunky lug sole loafer (I just bought these). It’s all about balance.

I find the color sage to be really versatile as well. It’s a favorite shade of green of mine (this trench from Sezane is basically the exact same color). I love it with light denim, dark denim, black jeans, brown, you name it. It’s a really good neutral. I’m torn on pairing this with a true color outside of neutrals. But according to my rule with the color wheel (opposites attract), you could probably try this with a shade of pink!
Either way, I have no doubt this is going to be a favorite piece for me to grab this fall and winter. It’s going to give my big collection of blazers a run for their money.
