Every season sparks a new fall uniform usually. It varies slightly from that previous season’s uniform. For example, last fall, I feel like I lived in these booties and my varying Madewell sweaters. But after putting on this chic and may I add, somewhat badass outfit, I think this may be my updated and effortless fall uniform.
This pretty grey sweater is the perfect shape and fit. It also comes in a pretty blush color as well if you’re into that! But that’s not the groundbreaking piece of this fall uniform. It’s these amazing buckle up booties. Just about every fall for the last few years I have been on the hunt for flat mid-rise booties like these. I’ve tried dozens, honestly. And every single time I got them in the mail or popped them on in a store, I always felt insanely short and stubby and not myself. Reluctant to accept that this style is just not for me (although it feels SO me which is why I kept trying) I gave them another chance this fall. Marc Fisher came through for the WIN. I put these on knowing that they’d likely be awful yet again on me, and then as soon as I looked in the mirror I was so excited. They looked GOOD! And they’re comfortable! And they don’t make me look short and stubby!
These flat buckle boots are a tad on the pricier end at $249. But if you’ve been on the same struggle bus as I have with this style, I think they’re worth every penny. I rounded up a few other more affordable similar styles below that are just as cute.
