While in NYC I attempted to dress cute. Note to self, don’t. It’s just not worth it. For the longest time I thought I wanted (more like belonged) in NYC. I feel at home there between people understanding my resting bitch face and my unique background of being Jewish and Italian. It just seemed like the place I needed to be. Plus, my whole family still lives in New York where I’m from (shocker, I’m not southern!). But I think this last trip may have finally changed my mind. The weather was brutal, the schlepping was miserable and the amount of extra time it takes to bundle up and bundle back down is just wasted time. I think for now I’m content, emphasis on for now. I still think a future home in NYC is a possibility, but only when I have a shit ton of money to never have to deal with the weather and someone to drive me around because cabs smell.
So basically never.
