You got a good sneak peek of the new floors in my house while I did my kitchen and gallery wall reveal. I thought I’d share a big full reveal though in it’s own post and show you the rest of the home. I think it’s pretty clear the before and after is pretty drastic, don’t you think? You can see the before of the dining and kitchen here. To say that I’m pleased, is an understatement. I absolutely love my new Mohawk ArmorMax floors for more than the obvious reason of them looking great.
My old floors had a very loud hallow sound to them and anytime I walked in heels, or even Pork walked around, it was very loud in the house. Now with these new hardwood floors from Mohawk, I barely hear Pork creeping up on me to beg for food. She’s like a ninja. I was nervous about darker floors as they tend to show scratches and any wear and tear more so than light ones. I have worn my high heels in the house, Pork has run around like a maniac, and not one scratch at all. The ArmorMax technology is tough and durable and designed for high traffic areas.
It’s definitely safe to say that I’m pretty pleased with the before and after and am so glad I made the switch. The process (which you can read more about here and here) was easy and seamless. Now I have a full Mohawk home as my bedroom carpet is also Mohawk. If you’re looking for carpet, I recommend the Smartstrand Silk as it literally feels like silk. I find myself sitting on the floor with Pork for way longer than I normally should.
If you’re looking to do a little home renovating and updating your floors, this is a quick project (roughly 2-3 days) and makes a huge difference in the overall look and feel of your home.
This post was written in collaboration with Mohawk. All opinions and views are my own.
PS the floors are Oak Shale from the Rockingham Oak Collection.
