The holidays are just around the corner and the one thing I know we all could use is a little bit of help! Insert Harry & David and today’s great tips for pulling off a beautiful fall harvest dinner party. Whether you want to recreate this for Thanksgiving or just an evening at home with friends during the season, look no further than Harry & David to help you pull it all off!
Fall and Thanksgiving entertaining are often about the classic dishes of the season. When browsing Harry & David’s website they not only had incredible food choices from appetizers to main entrees and sides, but also desserts and sweets. There’s also wine paired with cheeses and even serveware so you can host a party with ease.
Fall Harvest Menu
My fall harvest menu from Harry & David was a mix of pre-cooked items that just needed to be heated up, and also a few go-to dishes from my own recipe book to round it all out. The great part about shopping on Harry & David is you can easily filter by prepared meals, charcuteries, snacks and more. If you have any dietary restrictions, you can also browse by that as well whether you’re searching for Kosher, gluten-free or vegan. Here’s what I used for my fall gathering.
Appetizer
World Inspired Appetizer Assortment – This had a combination of spanakopita, 3 cheese arancini, and mushroom tarts. They all heated up in the oven easily making for an array of appetizer bites for guests. Shop the appetizer assortment here →
Beet & Hummus Dip – I made an easy to make hummus dip with roasted beets to supplement the hot appetizers. With fresh veggies and pita crisps to dip, it was the perfect accompaniment to my hot appetizers. I used this dip platter to share it with guests.
Entree
I was blown away by the entree options at Harry & David. So many things to choose from and they all are stunning.
Sliced Ham & Turkey – A little bit of holiday whether you’re a ham or turkey person. Having both was great and they heated up together easily in the oven. Just top with the provided glaze and you have a stunning main dish. It arrives already cooked and sliced, just heat and enjoy. Shop the entree here →
Maple Bourbon Sweet Potato Pie – My semi-homemade spread meant a few dishes came from my own kitchen from scratch. This sweet potato is super easy to make and the recipe is coming next week! Let’s just say, it’s 5 ingredients and so so easy to whip up. If you’re not looking to make this yourself, this looks delicious on Harry & David as a great side dish that feels like fall!
Simple Green Beans – I make these all the time and had them last year at my big Thanksgiving buffet. You can get the recipe here.
Dessert
You can’t have a delicious fall harvest dinner without finishing it off with some dessert! I’m personally not a great baker and have minimal patience for it, so getting some help from Harry & David is key!
Cranberry and Pear Galette – I am a BIG galette fan. If I see one on the menu, I get it. It’s a fantastic combination of flakey crust and sweet-tart fruit. All this needed was a little vanilla ice cream and you’ve got a complete dessert. It’s so beautiful too that you have to display it on your buffet. Shop the galette here →
Boxed Brownies – Yes you read that right. You can whip these up from scratch, or pick up these from Harry & David. But I went with a classic boxed brownie mix and mixed in some chocolate covered espresso beans to spruce them up.
