When I say I’ve been wanting to redecorate my patio for a while, I mean like 7 years sort of while. It’s been on my to do list but since I never use it I’ve just been putting it off. Sure I haven’t really used it because there’s really been nothing to sit on or enjoy out there. I knew I needed a bistro set for the small space and lots of great accents. Due to my small space, I decided to move my bar cart out on the patio to house some plants and herbs. Always great to be able to repurpose furniture in new ways. Adding a little woven tapestry to the black metal wall helped to warm up the space and make it feel more like home. Plus, the outdoor rug (yes this is a thing and I think every patio needs one) is quickly becoming Pork’s favorite place to hang out.
To celebrate my newly decorated outdoor space I thought it was only fitting to finally cook. I NEVER cook, which is why you only see cocktail recipes and some dessert ones here on the blog. Even though I consider myself a decent cook, I actually HATE doing it. I hate the big mess it makes, cooking for one is always a pain in the butt, and I’m really just totally fine with having cereal for dinner. But I decided to finally whip something up that’s perfect to celebrate an outdoor space. This Mexican inspired menu includes some of my favorite things like jalapeño, steak and grilled corn. Check back next week for the recipes and more photos of the feast!
