I feel like every so often I hyperfixate on a brand. Maybe I stumble onto an Instagram post, or see a favorite creator wearing something and before I know it, I’ve now become immersed in the brand. That recently happened to me with Ganni and now I’m the proud owner of three pieces that I just love.
Here’s what went down. While I’ve always sort of heard of this brand, and have seen a few things here and there, I had never been in a store or tried their pieces on. I found myself at Nordstrom one day trying on the ever so popular flat buckle pointed toe Ganni shoes.
There have been so many designer inspired versions of them now that you can find them at any price point from Amazon, to Steve Madden. But after slipping those shoes on my feet, and seeing how insanely comfortable they were, and super cute, I began to have my eye on Ganni.

How I Discovered Ganni
While in London with some friends, I stopped into the Ganni store to browse. I saw one of the sales associates wearing this oversized button down over some longer denim shorts and red cowboy boots. She looked so freaking cool. I instantly said “where can I try that shirt on”. She grabbed a couple sizes for me as it was my first time trying the brand. After finding the perfect size, I officially purchased my first-ever Ganni piece.
While I was thrilled for my new piece, I was a bit disappointed in myself for shopping in London. They no longer do the VAT return thanks to Brexit, and the dollar is pretty weak. So it cost me more than I would’ve liked. Lesson learned.

While In Stockholm…
Then while in Stockholm I knew I wanted to do a bit of browsing again. Thanks to VAT back and a strong dollar, a win! I tried on a few things and fell in love with this leopard dress. But it just was a smidge more expensive than what I like to spend. And, it was so out of my usual style realm that I thought maybe it wasn’t a fit anyway. I sent it to a few friends; some hated it, some loved it. And yes, I sometimes need to be influenced by my friends.
I did, however, go home with a new graphic tee. They make a great graphic tee and always have really cute options. I went with a size medium which allows for the perfect relaxed fit. Not too tight, not too loose. I think next time I’ll try a large or extra large for a more oversized fit.
Ganni Favorites

But after leaving the store with just a small bag with my one shirt, I just couldn’t get this leopard dress out of my head. And I also got the “yes omg that’s so cute” text from my favorite fashionable friend. So that’s when I knew, I had to go back.
I had to go back
The next day, I went back to the store right when they opened to re-try this dress on. It just fit so perfectly. It was one of those things that when you put it on, you felt great. And I’m a firm believer that just happens more when you spend a little more on quality fabrics and craftsmanship. I went with a size 38, and I’m usually a 4/6 in most brands.
I purchased my new dress and couldn’t wait to wear it when I got back to the States. It’s now been on repeat. It doesn’t require a bra which is fabulous. It’s 100% cotton, making it breathable and comfortable on hot days, and it feels so elevated, while being so comfy.

I’ve been styling it with these Amazon sandals and my new Dragon Diffusion bag. The blue-and-leopard combination is a favorite of mine. But I do plan to wear this into September with a black or red sweater over the shoulders and a pair of sneakers. It’s going to be a versatile piece for those hot September days.
What brands have you stumbled onto that you are now hyper-obsessed with?
