I’ve been working on my Denver travel guide this week and can’t wait to share it. One thing that is on the guide that’s a must visit is Union Station. Instead of taking an Uber from the airport to my friends apartment, he suggested I just take the RTD into Union Station. It’s a $9 fare and is maybe a 30-40 minute ride. It’s a straight shot and dead ends in the station.
When you get off the train and walk in, it’s this beautiful and bright train station. It’s got an old timey feel to it but with a modern twist. The middle is full of a mix of armchairs and long tables with old school lamps. It’s like a community work space that’s beyond cool. If I lived in Denver I’d totally hang out here to get some work done. Surrounding the space are little restaurants and cafes and also the cutest little flower stand. Great for grabbing flowers if you’re visiting friends or family.
I wore this cozy outfit on my flight to Denver and was hands down the most over dressed person on the flight. How to dress for the airport and still look cute has become my specialty though. Sometimes at least. This day was definitely one of those days and all it took was a cute tee and cozy long cardigan. These jeans are insanely comfortable and so are the booties, so this was the perfect airport look in my opinion. I feel like this was the ultimate comfort test too since I flew good ‘ol Frontier. Those seats are NOT comfortable.
To me I felt pretty casual but I don’t think my fellow passengers thought so. I knew Denver was casual but really didn’t think it was going to be that casual. Growing up in Oregon I thought for sure it was the most casual and granola city in the country. Wrong, Denver is a close second. I loved it though and can’t wait to go back and visit again.
Stay tuned for my travel guide coming next week! Until then you can see all my travel content here.
